    Abstract: An axial piston machine comprises a cylinder drum in which a multiplicity of pistons are arranged in a longitudinally displaceable manner. The pistons are supported, via sliding blocks, on a running surface which is inclined relative to the cylinder drum axis. The sliding blocks are held, at that side thereof which faces away from the running surface, by means of a retraction plate. The retraction plate is produced from processed sheet metal in a non-cutting punching and stamping process.
