  • Patent number: 11946613
Abstract: The invention relates to a multi-layered body comprising a transparent thermoplastic layer, a diffuser layer and a metal layer which, despite a decorative, structured visible surface, can transport information from a projection unit behind it with excellent sharpness and brightness. Corresponding elements can be used, for example, in Car-to-X communication.

  • Patent number: 7805209
Abstract: A contact-less safety device, i.e., a safety device operating without contact has an interface for the transmission of output signals to connectable appliances for signal processing. The output signals from the individual sensors of the safety device operating without contact can be transmitted separately via the interface.

    Assignee: Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG
Inventors: Andreas Bechtel, Ulrich Grimm, Carsten Huschle, Lutz Pfaff
  • Patent number: 7342673
Abstract: A device for defining participants in a control system that controls a printing machine is provided. The control system includes a central computer and a number of participants which interact with the central computer in order to carry out processes. The participants are connected to one another via lines of a bus system. The lines of the bus system and the participants have respective plugs for connecting the lines of the bus system to the participants. The plugs of the lines of the bus system have reserved plug contacts which are provided with one or more galvanic links for defining the respective participants.

  • Publication number: 20060114323
Abstract: A method and an apparatus safeguard hazardous areas in machines in the printing industry. Such a hazardous area is monitored by at least one sensor that is suitable for identifying objects penetrating into the hazardous area and is connected to a machine control system. When an object penetrates into the hazardous area, the object is identified through the use of the sensor and the machine control system acts on the state of the hazardous area of the machine on the basis of the identification and the respective operating state of the machine.

  • Patent number: 6832121
Abstract: A device for monitoring safety-relevant processes in actuating/drive elements in machines having at least one operation control for safety-relevant and other than safety-relevant processes, at least one safety monitoring control, at least one safety input/output device and a redundantly constructed input/output system for safety-relevant processes, includes at least one field bus system connecting the operation control, the at least one safety input/output device and the at least one safety monitoring control to one another, at least one of the safety input/output device and the safety monitoring control being disposed in a distributed manner on an actuating/drive element for, respectively, initiating and performing a safety-relevant process; and a method of operating the device.

  • Patent number: 5217510
Abstract: An electrostatic precipitator is disposed inside and around the periphery of the window of a viewing port communicating with a housing through which a particle-laden gas stream is being passed. The precipitator includes a pair of electrodes around the periphery of the window, spaced apart and connected to a unidirectional voltage source. Application of high voltage from the source to the electrodes causes air molecules in the gas stream to become ionized, attaching to solid particles and causing them to be deposited on a collector electrode. This prevents the particles from being deposited on the window and keeps the window clean for viewing and making optical measurements.
