Abstract: The arrangement for producing linear standing waves includes: a transverse structure arranged at least substantially perpendicularly to the flow direction, the structure designed such that the outflow is converted from a streaming flowing movement into a shooting flowing movement; a ramp connected downstream to the transverse structure and arranged at least substantially perpendicularly to the flow direction; a counter-ramp arranged at least substantially in the flow direction at the downstream end of the ramp and the average inclination in the flow direction forms an angle to the horizontal in the flow direction, and which has a flow-promoting transition to the ramp at its upstream end; a base arranged downstream of the ramp and the counter-ramp and whose bottom is arranged lower by a height dimension than the downstream end of the ramp and/or the upstream end of the counter-ramp.
