  • Patent number: 11420909
Abstract: According to the present invention there is provided a method for enantiomeric enrichment of a mixture of two enantiomers of a chiral compound, the method comprises the application of the mixture of two enantiomers of a chiral compound onto a surface of a support material for producing a coated support, the determination a first value of an optical activity (OA0) of the coated support, the irradiation of the coated support with a light beam having an intensity at least higher than a desorption threshold of one of the enantiomers from the coated support, wherein, if the support material is achiral, the light beam is circularly polarized and, if the support material is chiral, the light beam is unpolarized, linearly polarized or circularly polarized, and the determination of a second value of the optical activity (OAe) of the coated support after said irradiation, wherein the second value of the optical activity (OAe) differs from the first value of the optical activity (OA0).

  • Patent number: 4609922
Abstract: Transponders are arranged at control locations associated with sections of a track or travel path. Each transponder is in wireless communication through an inductive transmission path and an optical transmission path with a conveyor present in the operable range of the transponder. Each transponder is in communication with a central system control via an associated group control unit by means of two-wire lines or conductors. The operational mode of each transponder is controllable by means of a multiplexer such that the transponder operates either as a responder or answering device with simultaneous unidirectional signal transfer and which responder is to be interrogated by a conveyor or as a bidirectional signal transmitter. The apparatus selectively functions as a location or site code transmitter and presence indicator for the individual conveyors or as bidirectional data transmitter with isolated directions between the conveyors and the central system control.

  • Patent number: 4508484
Abstract: The transport installation comprises a reception station and a transport vehicle between which a load can be displaced in a horizontal plane by movement of the vehicle. To avoid the necessity of raising the transport vehicle or of having recourse to an auxiliary vehicle, an endless conveyor, extending in the direction of displacement of the transport vehicle is provided at the reception station. The endless conveyor comprises a horizontal portion for receiving the load and this portion is preceded by a downwardly inclined portion intersecting the horizontal plane along which the load can be transported. At least one drive wheel, co-operating with a corresponding drive element carried by the transport vehicle, is provided at the reception station for driving the endless conveyor at the same time as the transport vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4478329
Abstract: A transfer apparatus wherein the conveyed loads, which need not absolutely possess a square or rectangular cross-sectional area or configuration, are received by or delivered from a transport vehicle, without the load itself having to experience a tilting movement, when it departs, for instance, from a stationary chain conveyor and is taken-over by the chain conveyor of a displacement carriage. The gap between the stationary chain conveyor and the chain conveyor mounted upon the transport vehicle is bridged by the laterally movable displacement carriage. The related chain drive serves for moving the conveyor chains of the chain conveyor and the displacement carriage. An alternately effective brake-locking device controls both movements. With blocked conveyor chains the displacement carriage, depending upon the direction of rotation of the drive motor of the chain drive, moves laterally in one or the other direction until reaching a related lateral stop or impact member.
