  • Patent number: 11755401
Abstract: A method for providing an analytical artifact used for development and/or analysis of an investigated technical system of interest comprised of components having associated machine readable functional descriptions including port definitions and component failure modes processed to generate automatically the analytical artifact in response to at least one applied system evaluation criterion.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 10, 2018
Date of Patent: September 12, 2023
    Assignee: SIEMENS AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT

  • Publication number: 20030172901
Abstract: Fuel is injected directly into at least one combustion chamber (12) in a method for operating an internal combustion engine (10), especially for a motor vehicle. Furthermore, air is supplied to the combustion chamber (12) via an intake manifold (14). Injection and supply take place at least from time to time so that the mixture of fuel and air in the combustion chamber (12) is stratified. Furthermore, a temperature (tmot) is determined which is specific for the internal combustion engine (10). The pressure (pss) in the intake manifold (14) is changed in dependence upon the determined temperature (tmot) in order to guarantee an optimal operating performance of the internal combustion engine (10) in all operating ranges of the engine (10).

  • Patent number: 6293561
Abstract: A regulatable suspension system for an active chassis of a motor vehicle has at least two actuators which are capable of being set via actuating signals in order to influence the relative movement between a wheel of the motor vehicle and the vehicle body. A control unit is provided for generating the actuating signals as a function of input signals representing vehicle state variables. Actuating movements that can be applied to the wheel by the actuators and acting on the wheel have parallel direction components. In the event of a fault, if one actuator is defective, actuating signals coupling the actuators can be generated in such a way that a control function assigned to the defective actuator can be set via an intact actuator.

  • Patent number: 5825178
Abstract: The sensing device for determination of a steering wheel angle of a steering column of a vehicle includes a first coded disk which is read by a first group of receiving devices to form a fine code signal and which rotates at the same speed as the steering wheel. A second coded disk rotates with a fourth the speed of the first disk and has two or more pole change positions which are detected by a second group of receiving devices to form a gross code signal. Hall elements are used as receiving devices. Magnetically coded disks having a predetermined sequence of alternating North and South pole regions are used as the coded disks. These regions are distributed around the periphery of the disk and have different arc lengths. Hall switching devices are used as receivers which cooperate with the magnetic regions of the coded disks.

  • Patent number: 4523136
Abstract: A safety arrangement for an adjusting installation of a seat adapted to be actuated manually or programmed, especially of a vehicle seat, with adjusting motors and with an electronic circuit which gives priority to the manual seat adjustment over a programmed seat adjustment, which, in case of a relay or adjusting motor defect, opens up the corresponding circuit, which in case of a simultaneous actuation of several position buttons, interrupts a programmed seat adjustment and which after interruption of the energy supply permits a programmed seat adjustment only after renewed storage of a seat position.
