  • Patent number: 9127433
Abstract: A method for sealing piles in foundations in the construction field, wherein a hollow-body formwork element is used. The method includes: 1) applying a barrier layer to the foundation; 2) introducing a pile into the foundation, the pile being arranged so as to penetrate the barrier layer; 3) applying a hollow-body formwork element along the central longitudinal axis of the pile, the hollow-body formwork element surrounding the pile; 4) introducing mineral binding agents into the intermediate space between the pile and the hollow-body formwork element; 5) connecting the barrier layer and the hollow-body formwork element. The hollow-body formwork element has on the side facing the pile a contact layer, which includes a composite layer of a porous material and/or a sealant. The hollow-body formwork element can remain as a part of the structure and thus can perform a sealing function.

  • Patent number: 8793862
Abstract: A sealant is arranged in a meshlike manner between a composite layer and a barrier layer in a water-tight membrane that includes a barrier layer and a composite layer. In the case of a leak in the barrier layer, the network of sealant between the composite layer and the barrier layer prevents the barrier layer from being affected. As a result, the size of the areas affected by penetrating water is limited. The damage by the penetrating water is thus limited to a smaller area, and the point of damage can thus be more easily localized.

  • Publication number: 20140193204
Abstract: For a tubbing made of concrete for lining a tunnel, such as a traffic tunnel, the tubbing can have a convexly curved outer surface and a concavely curved inner surface opposite the outer surface. The tubbing can be provided with a thermoplastic sealing layer on the outer surface of the concrete tubbing. The thermoplastic sealing layer can also be arranged on all sides of the outside surfaces facing the outer surface. The tubbing can, for example, have a recess that extends around the outer surface in a frame shape, and the sealing layer engages in the recess.
