  • Patent number: 7292376
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for digitally generating images on photosensitive material comprising a light source, a liquid crystal display (LCD) unit and imaging optics. According to the invention, the LCD unit and the imaging optics are mounted in the same lens tube.

  • Patent number: 6867847
Abstract: In an apparatus for producing images on a light-sensitive material, the graphic information content for an image that is to be projected onto the light-sensitive material is divided into individual pixels. The projected image is composed of mutually offset partial images that are represented in a transmissive device consisting of an array of transmissive elements. The apparatus includes a light source that generates light rays passing through the transmissive device, an illumination device that bundles the light rays into light beams before they pass through the transmissive device, and a projection objective that projects the light beams telecentrically onto the light-sensitive material.

  • Patent number: 6222612
Abstract: A process and device for the output of electronic image signals on light-sensitive recording material is disclosed. A two-dimensional, transmissive display element, in particular a liquid crystal display (LCD), is controlled by the image signals and the beam of at least one light source passes therethrough in the direction of the light-sensitive recording material. During video output, the display element is arranged so near to the recording material that a sharp picture is produced on the recording material without having to position additional focusing, optical means between the display element and the recording material.

  • Patent number: 5376780
Abstract: A bar code is scanned to generate a signal which is representative of the bar code and contains a series of maxima and minima. The signal is sampled to detect the maxima and minima corresponding to the encoded information of the bar code. The detected maxima are compared with an upper threshold value while the detected minima are compared with a lower threshold value. For each detected maximum and minimum, a "0" or "1" is entered in a memory depending upon whether or not the detected maximum or minimum exceeds the corresponding threshold value. This produces an array of bits which is then decoded.

  • Patent number: 5303000
Abstract: Strips of coherent, exposed and developed film frames are advanced past, and discrete frames are placed onto, a window at a monitoring station where successive increments of the film frames are monitored by a device having photocells forming at least one row which extends transversely of the path of advancement of strips. The monitoring device is at a standstill during advancement of strips but is transported past a discrete frame at the monitoring station. Such monitoring device can ascertain the density of film frames, and its photocells generate signals which are used to image the frames onto photographic paper.

  • Patent number: 4947205
Abstract: A filmstrip containing a series of images is conveyed along a path which passes by a copying station and a scanning station. The filmstrip is advanced in steps using transporting rolls and a narrow segment of the filmstrip is scanned at the scanning station after every step. A first set of measurements obtained upon scanning of the filmstrip is used to calculate the amounts of light and the exposure times required to properly reproduce the images. A second set of measurements is used to detect characteristic regions of the filmstrip having abrupt changes in density. The positions of the characteristic regions along the filmstrip are established by a counter which counts the steps undergone by the filmstrip and the measurement or measurements corresponding to each characteristic region are stored together with the respective position. The positions of the characteristic regions and the second set of measurements are used to calculate the positions of the images along the filmstrip.
