  • Patent number: 4951016
Abstract: A relay includes a coil member having two through extending contact spaces parallel to the axis of the coil member. The contact tongues are arranged in the contact spaces and are anchored in common in a first coil flange to form working air gaps with pole pieces in the region of a second coil flange. The pole pieces are arranged in pairs and lie perpendicularly in a plane at an end face of the second coil flange. A permanent magnet arrangement having a plurality of magnetic poles corresponding to twice the number of pole pieces polarized the pole pieces. The permanent magnet poles facing away from the pole pieces are coupled to the bearing side of the contact tongues via flux guidance plates. The permanent magnet regions allow individual independent balancing of each and every pole piece to achieve synchronous switching of the two contact tongues.

  • Patent number: 4481493
Abstract: A polarized electromagnetic relay has two U-shaped angled yokes which are parallelly disposed on opposite sides of a permanent magnet. Each yoke has two free lateral legs projecting upwardly at opposite ends of the yoke respectively forming two pairs of yoke legs with the legs of the other yoke. A U-shaped pivotable armature is disposed between the pairs of yoke legs, the armature having downwardly angled legs at its opposite free ends. The two yokes in combination with the permanent magnet are embedded in a coil body. A cup-shaped base body open toward the bottom of the relay is inverted over the coil body, the base body having a bearing for the armature and a plurality of embedded contact terminal pins. In combination with a housing cap, the base body forms a contact space which is sealed from the coil winding and from the exterior atmosphere.

  • Patent number: 4475093
Abstract: A polarized electromagnetic relay has two L-shaped yokes with a permanent magnet disposed therebetween. Each yoke has a long leg and a short leg with a coil wound around the long legs of the yokes. The long leg of a similarly L-shaped armature is also disposed between the long legs of the yokes and the armature is pivotally mounted at its short leg so that the free end of the long leg of the armature executes switching movements between the short yoke legs and forms a rectangle in combination with the yoke arrangement. The armature may be mounted centrally or single-sided with respect to the yoke legs for monostable or bistable switching behavior of the relay. The compact arrangement of the yokes and armature permits a number of contact elements to be disposed beneath the coil at both sides of the long armature leg, with the armature causing movement of spaced spring contact elements for making and breaking with corresponding fixed contact elements.

  • Patent number: 4307362
Abstract: An electromagnetic relay is provided in which the housing therefor is divided into two space areas, namely, one for the contacts, which is sealed off from a coil space area. The contact space is substantially sealed from the coil winding by having the carrier for the movable armature, the movable contacts and the stationary contacts on one side of a base body, and the coil on the other side. The contact area is provided by the base body and a protective cap. Stationary contact terminals are embedded in the wall of the base body. Spring biased movable contacts are mounted in the contact space. The protective cap closely adjoins the base body. The coil has a ferromagnetic core which at opposite ends of the coil have uprising flanges which form pole shoes. These flanges extend through openings in the base body in proximity to the armature.

  • Patent number: 4215329
Abstract: Polarized relay with contact blade arranged within the coil body, and two yoke plates as counter contacts; a relatively large coupling surface between yoke and magnet, as well as an optimal space utilization for the magnet can be achieved with maximum exploitation of the relay cross section, by means of a four-pole magnet coupled at the front to the yoke plates or by means of two individual magnets.

  • Patent number: 4160965
Abstract: A polarized miniature relay where the armature and the armature activated electrical contacts are positioned interior of the coil winding with the contacts injection molded in contact carriers and the contact carriers and armature preassemblable onto a bar magnet forming a single unit inserted into the coil interior.
