  • Patent number: 5973503
Abstract: A process for online measurement of electrical conductivity to control minimum conductivity of fluids, especially rolling oil, which prevents charging and discharging, by controlled addition of conductivity additives. The process measures the time change of conductivity to determine the amount of extremely fine particulate fouling and the degree of impurity of the rolling oil. The process also provides online measurement of the dielectric constant and online measurement of permeability.

  • Patent number: 4912660
Abstract: An apparatus for measuring a measurable characteristic of an object includes a sensor element which emits an analog sensor output signal, the sensor output signal corresponding to the measurable characteristic of the object, an analog/digital converter for converting analog signals from the sensor element into digital output signals, a processor receiving the digital output signals and supplying a control signal to the controllable auxiliary variable generator. The controllable auxiliary variable generator is controlled by the control signal emitted by the processor, and the auxiliary variable signal is interrupted for a selected time span after each measuring interval.

  • Patent number: 4641120
Abstract: A safety fuse assembly having a body of insulating material in which a fusible conductor extends embedded in a quenching medium between two electrical contacts. The assembly is provided with an electro-optical indicator connected in parallel with the fusible conductor via a high resistance circuit. To increase the fuse capacity of the safety fuse assembly, the circuit is formed as an electrically conductive, highly resistive thin layer having one or more tapping points and which acts as a voltage or current divider circuit. This makes it possible to maximize the internal volume of the fuse chamber, thereby enabling increases in the length of the fusible conductor and the amount of quenching material, whereby usage of the internal volume of the safety fuse assembly can be optimized.
