  • Patent number: 5634689
Abstract: Articulated fitting for seats having an adjustable backrest, in particular motor vehicle seats. The articulated fitting has an articulated part which is stationary with respect to the seat part and a swivelable articulated part associated with the backrest, these articulated parts being connected with one another via a swivel axle. The position of the two articulated parts relative to one another is determined by an adjusting and fixing device constructed as a gear unit. The swivel axle has an eccentric portion which is formed by two wedge segments which embrace a driver of the swivel axle, by a driver arm engaging between the narrow sides of the wedge segments, by an energy accumulator which presses apart the wide sides of the wedge segments and possibly by a centering segment arranged adjacent to the latter. The swivel axle has a central receptacle serving to connect with a transmission rod so as to be fixed with respect to rotation relative thereto.

  • Patent number: 5564315
Abstract: A locking system for vehicular seats, in particular motor vehicle seats, is described and includes a rail (9), having a row of identically designed snap-in holes (11), which are separated by identically long, web-like material members (13), and a part having with a pair of bolts (1, 7), which can be moved relative to the rail. The bolts (1, 7) of the pair of bolts can be moved independently of each other at right angles to the longitudinal direction of the rail. In each position along the rail (9) at least one bolt (1, 7) can fall into a snap-in hole (11). One of the bolts (1) has a segment (3), which tapers away from the basic body (1') and includes an end which has a smaller cross section and which adjoins an end segment (5), that faces the rail. The largest width of the pair of bolts (1, 7) exceeds the length of the snap-in holes (11). The smallest distance between the bolts (1) and (7) is larger than the width of the web-like material parts (13).

  • Patent number: 4611698
Abstract: In a double clutch transmission, especially for a motor vehicle, it is necessary for the completely satisfactory shifting sequence to engage and disengage the clutches alternately; in order that such a sequence is assured, differential pressure switches are provided which include a signalling device that indicates end positions of the clutches to an electronic control installation for evaluation purposes.

  • Patent number: 4592249
Abstract: A shift rod position indicator system for an automotive vehicle transmission includes a plurality of position sensors fixed to the housing of the transmission and actuating means moved by shift rods in proximity to the sensors which generate an electrical signal according to the displacement of the shift rod during the shifting operation, the electrical signal corresponding with initial and full engagement of the gear, the signal being maintained over the extent of gear engagement to provide an electronic control circuit with information so as to permit the synchronized operation of clutches to effect a semi-automatic gear change.

  • Patent number: 4494199
Abstract: A brake system with a control installation influencing the deceleration of the motor vehicle in such a manner that the deceleration of the vehicle takes place along a stored characteristic curve triggerable by a measuring element of the brake pedal.

  • Patent number: 4491892
Abstract: An electronic current overload protection device in which an applied voltage is divided into the voltage across the load and the current-proportional voltage drop at an MOS transistor of a circuit that includes the load and the MOS transistor whose resistance is exactly linearly proportional to the current; this voltage drop is applied by way of a delay circuit to a threshold switch that controls the gate input of the MOS transistor by way of a driver stage; the threshold of the threshold circuit is adjustable corresponding to the current to be protected against.

  • Patent number: 4197711
Abstract: Turbocharging apparatus for an internal combustion engine is provided which includes an exhaust gas driven turbocharger with an exhaust gas line leading to an exhaust turbine thereof to drive the same. In order to control the supply of exhaust gases to the exhaust turbine, a control valve is provided between the exhaust line and atmosphere for selectively venting a portion of the exhaust gases. The position of the control valve is in turn governed by a movable diaphragm communicated with charging air pressure by way of a regulating device, which regulating device is responsive to both the charging air pressure and the temperature of the cylinder head of the engine, to precisely control the turbocharger.
