  • Publication number: 20180338675
Abstract: An intubation instrument includes a proximal end and a distal end, a handle positioned at the proximal end, a control interface disposed on or proximate to the handle, the control interface being configured to receive user input and to control a function of the instrument based on said user input, the control interface having a light source disposed within the control interface to illuminate at least a portion of the control interface, the light source alternately emitting light in different colors, each color indicating a different state of the function of the instrument. The instrument includes an imaging system for generating image data, and a monitor for displaying the image data and a graphical interface. A section of the graphical interface includes information about the state of the instrument and is displayed in a color corresponding to the color of light emitted by the light source of the control interface.

  • Publication number: 20180020906
Abstract: An adaptive blade for a laryngoscope includes a proximal end, which is mechanically connectable or connected to a handle in order to form an adaptive laryngoscope, a first flexible bar, which extends from the proximal end of the adaptive blade to the distal end thereof, and a second flexible bar, which extends from the proximal end of the adaptive blade to the distal end thereof. At the distal end of the adaptive blade, the flexible bars are connected to each other mechanically rigidly or in an articulated manner. In the proximal direction from the distal end of the adaptive blade, the flexible bars are mechanically connected to each other in such a way that they are movable relative to each other substantially in their longitudinal directions.

  • Publication number: 20180020902
Abstract: An intubation system includes an intubation instrument for capturing an image, wherein the intubation instrument has a first interface for providing an image signal representing the captured image, a display device with a second interface for receiving the image signal, wherein the display device is provided and designed to display the image captured by the intubation instrument, and a cable with a third interface at a first end of the cable and with a fourth interface at a second end of the cable. The first, second, third, and fourth interfaces are designed such that the first interface at the intubation instrument is connectable directly to the second interface at the display device and is alternatively connectable directly to the third interface at the cable, and such that the second interface at the display device is connectable directly to the first interface at the intubation instrument and is alternatively connectable directly to the fourth interface at the cable.

  • Publication number: 20170258311
Abstract: A laryngoscope with a handle, at the distal end of which a blade is arranged at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the handle, wherein a channel for receiving an image carrier of a video endoscope is formed in the handle and in the blade such that the channel, in a transition area from the handle to the blade, merges in a radius from the handle into the blade. In order to provide a laryngoscope which, while being easy to handle, ensures insertion of the image carrier into the channel in a way that protects material, in the transition area from the handle into the blade, at least one run-on bevel is formed in the interior of the channel.

  • Patent number: 9107628
Abstract: An intubation instrument for intubating a patient's trachea including an imager module having a base unit with a finger loop and a longitudinal member attached to the distal end of the base unit, as well as a blade having a handle that is hollow and mates with the outer surface of the longitudinal member forming a male-female connection, the distal end of the blade projecting laterally therefrom, the distal end of the blade being insertable into a human during intubation.

  • Patent number: 6129537
Abstract: In order to easily convert a lip rolling apparatus to different cup diameters, without involving a change of the phase relation of the roll feeds (1) relative to one another, two roll feed pairs are arranged oppositely, the roll feeds (1) of each pair being arranged at a fixed spacing (D1), individually, relative to one another, and the mutual spacing of the roll feed pairs is variable. The drive gears (10a,b, 11a,b) are adapted to be driven by a common drive belt (12) traveling over at least one deflection sheave (13a,b) arranged so as to be movable along the line of symmetry (40) between the drive gear pairs (10a,b, 11a,b). The drive gears (10a,b, 11a,b) have the same diameter as the deflection sheaves (13a, 13b) on a compensating knuckle (30a, 30b).

  • Patent number: 6033214
Abstract: Described is a heating apparatus which in case of need guarantees nonproblematic access to the objects to be heated, without incurring heat losses. Used in conjunction with lip rolling apparatuses, the heating apparatus features at least two movably arranged heating boxes (1) and (2), which via parallelogram linkages connected in swingable fashion to a stationary support element (13), such that in their inoperative position they are away from the object to be heated and have assumed closed position as well.
