  • Publication number: 20040090667
Abstract: A microscopy system for imaging an object is proposed, comprising: microscopy optics including an objective system (3) with an object plane (13) whose working distance (A) from the objective system is adjustable, and a first projection system for projecting at least one shaped analysis light beam (33, 34) onto the object and for generating at least one light spot (39) on the same. The analysis light beam (33, 34) is shaped such that a shape of a cross-section of the analysis light beam (33, 34) changes in beam direction.

  • Patent number: 6597396
Abstract: A process for balancing a video signal is set forth. In order to be able to utilize, with particular advantage in the medical field, processes that have been known for a long time, the video signal is balanced in a manner such that the color effect of an image, displayed by a monitor, of a white surface that is illuminated with a selected light source corresponds as closely as possible to the color effect of the original white surface that results from direct observation by the human eye.

  • Publication number: 20020040190
Abstract: A surgical microscope (1) has an objective (12) for viewing an object (2) and a device for detecting the spatial position of points of the object. The surgical microscope (1) includes a first image sensor (10) and a second image sensor (11) which are arranged at a spacing from each other.

  • Patent number: 6008839
Abstract: In a process for the display of three-dimensional video images, in which at least two associated stereoscopic left-hand and right-hand partial images are electro-optically sensed at a given read-in frequency and the partial images are then sequentially reproduced on a display, the sensing of the two partial images takes place with a constant delay time with respect to each other, so that a delay which remains constant is ensured between the image formation in the camera and the reproduction of the partial image.

  • Patent number: 4934810
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and apparatus for controlling the quantity of emitted light in an optical measuring head. The control of the emitted light quantity of a laser diode mounted in the optical measuring head is dependent upon the stray light characteristics of the workpiece and is achieved by controlling the pulse width of the laser diode. The light pulses are synchronized with the machine clock frequency of the coordinate measuring apparatus on which the measuring head is fixedly mounted such that the center of the pulse coincides always with the counter strobe of the measuring system of the coordinate measuring apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4409328
Abstract: For the determination of glycerol, the latter is incubated with galactose oxidase in an aqueous medium in the presence of oxygen and either the oxygen consumption or the amount of H.sub.2 O.sub.2 or glyceraldehyde that is formed is determined. A reagent suitable for this purpose consists of galactose oxidase and a system for the determination of H.sub.2 O.sub.2 or a system for the determination of glyceraldehyde. It can additionally contain an agent for the saponification of esterified glycerol.
