  • Patent number: 7905085
Abstract: A method for operating an internal combustion engine, in whose exhaust gas system an exhaust gas treatment device is positioned, a reagent, which is possibly mixed with compressed air, being introduced into the exhaust gas system upstream from the exhaust gas treatment device, and a device for performing the method. The reagent is brought to a predefined reagent setpoint pressure using a reagent pump and subsequently metered using a reagent dosing valve. The reagent pressure existing upstream from the reagent dosing valve is detected. In the framework of a diagnosis, a time curve of the reagent setpoint pressure is predefined. The reagent pressure detected during the diagnosis is compared to at least one predefined threshold value. If the threshold value is exceeded, an error signal is provided. The corresponding diagnosis of a compressed air path may be provided alternatively or additionally to the diagnosis of the reagent path.

  • Publication number: 20040089832
Abstract: A hydraulic part 13 of a magnet valve 10 is received in a bore 14 of a valve block 11. The securing of the hydraulic part 13 to the valve block 11 is attained with a calked heel 53 of a securing bush 43 that is slipped onto a guide sleeve 21 of the hydraulic part 13. The securing bush 43 resting on an annular shoulder 27 of the guide sleeve 21 engages a jacket wall 28 of the guide sleeve 21 with a press fit. In addition, one edge of the securing bush 43 is adapted to a rounded-out throat between the jacket wall 28 and an end wall 29 of the annular shoulder 27 by means of plastic deformation. In addition, a valve sleeve 33 engages a portion 47 of the bore 14 of the valve block 11 with a press fit.

  • Patent number: 6017099
Abstract: The vibration damper has a sleevelike shaped part comprising an elastomer as a diaphragm. The shaped part is received tightly on the opening end of a bore of a housing and surrounds an extension of a support body disposed in the bore. Provided on a side face of the extension is a groove, which communicates with a chamber in the extension. The shaped part, which on its outside is exposed to the brake fluid, with the inside of its jacket wall defines a hollow chamber, formed toward the extension of the support body and having atmospheric pressure. The vibration damper can be used in a slip-controlled hydraulic brake systems of motor vehicles.

  • Patent number: 5779221
Abstract: A pressure adjusting device that has at least one electromagnetically actuatable valve, which is united with a valve block and has both a valve dome that protrudes from the valve block and a coil that is alignable with and mountable on the valve dome. The coil is resiliently joined, by means of electrical contact elements to a cap that covers the coil and the valve dome and is fastened to the valve block. The mounted coil is also axially braced, remote from the valve block, on the cap with a spring element in the form of a sheet-metal spring, one side of the spring element engages the valve block and another side engages the coil. Jarring and impact strains on the electrical contact elements are thereby avoided. The electrohydraulic pressure adjusting device is usable for slip-controlled vehicle brake systems.

  • Patent number: 5762318
Abstract: A pressure adjuster that has at least one valve, united with a valve block, with a valve dome that protrudes from the valve block. A cap includes a coil which is slipped over the valve dome. Electrical contact elements extend from both the coil and the cap and are joined together in a material bond. The electrical contact elements of the coil and of the cap are embodied resiliently. The electrical contact elements effect both the electrical connection and the mounting function for the coil. Moreover, the electrical contact elements allow aligning the coil as it is slipped onto the valve dome. The electrohydraulic pressure adjuster can be used in slip-controlled vehicle brake systems.
