The active ingredient preparation may be used together with steam for steaming textiles. A functional element for a hand-held steam generator for treating textiles may include the active ingredient preparation in or on a carrier element. Finally, a method for steaming textiles may include or consist of providing a steam generator having a functional element, generating steam in the steam generator, bringing the steam into contact with the active ingredient preparation, and then applying the steam, which contains the active ingredient preparation, to a textile to be steamed.

Abstract: A support element for an active ingredient for treating a piece of clothing, the support element being designed to have hot steam flowing therethrough transversely to a main extension plane and to enrich the steam with the active ingredient in the process. The invention is characterized in that the support element has a structure-stabilizing frame extending in the main plane and at least two chambers which are separated from one another, the active ingredient being stored in at least one of the chambers.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to textile care agents and to optically clear and transparent fabric softener formulations which also have a viscous consistency, containing a combination of special ester quats with nonionic emulsifiers and cationic thickeners, to the use of said textile care agents and fabric softener formulations. The present disclosure also relates to a method for washing textiles using said textile care agent and fabric softener formulations. The present disclosure relates to methods for producing the special ester quats, to the thus resulting ester quats and to the use thereof.
