  • Patent number: 8009782
Abstract: A larger second bandwidth is fitted to a first transmission bandwidth by blanking PRBs at one or both edges of the larger second bandwidth. A first set of control channels is mapped to unblanked PRBs of the second bandwidth using a restricted set of physical cell identities that map only to the unblanked PRBs. A second control channel is punctured so that after it is interleaved and cyclically shifted the punctured CCEs fall on the blanked PRBs, and this second control channel is power compensated for the punctured CCEs. The first set and the second control channels are assigned in view of the puncturing and blanked PRBs, an IFFT for the larger second bandwidth is performed on a signal using zeros at the blanked PRBs, the signal is filtered to the first bandwidth and transmitted over a bandwidth not to exceed the first bandwidth.

  • Publication number: 20030174687
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the transmission of data between a number of user stations (MS1, MS2), using a common timeslot of a series of frames and a base station (BS1). The base station (BS1) transmits user data destined for a first of the user stations (MS1) and control information for a second user station (MS2) in a given timeslot, whereby the control information is encoded with a stronger error protection than the user data. A radio signal emitted in the given timeslot directed at the first user station (MS1) is superimposed with a second radio signal, the transmission power of which is sufficient to reach in the direction of the second user station (MS2), in order to permit a precise reception of the control information. The second signal can either be multiplexed or not.

  • Patent number: 5507055
Abstract: A method for determining an amount of laundry in an at least approximately horizontally supported drum for laundry being driven by a universal drive motor at a washing and drying rpm is performed on the basis of observations of parameters of an operation in a laundry handling machine. A drive moment at the drum drive motor is determined during a drum startup phase, for operating the drum at a controlled handling rpm at which the laundry is not held against a wall of the drum by centrifugal force.

  • Patent number: 5507054
Abstract: A method for determining a mass of wet laundry in a washing machine drum being driven by an rpm-controlled universal motor is performed with the aid of controller variables. The drum is operated before and/or during a spin cycle within first, second and third phases in a mass determining segment. The drum is operated in the first phase with a delayed rpm rise up to a final rpm above an application rpm at which the laundry is applied to a wall of the drum, and near but below a resonant rpm of a drive system. The drum is operated in the second phase with a constant command rpm equal to the final rpm of a ramp. The drum is operated in the third phase with an rpm running down to a minimum rpm without being driven, and with the rpm still being high enough to prevent a previously developed ring of laundry from separating or more than slightly separating from the drum wall.
