  • Publication number: 20170347036
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a driver assistance system for a motor vehicle, such as a truck. The driver assistance system includes an environment camera with an image sensor and an optical system. The driver assistance system also includes an imaging unit and a display element in the interior of the motor vehicle. The environment camera, the imaging unit, and the display element form a digital exterior mirror, where the digital exterior mirror is arranged such that at least two visual field regions, namely a first visual field region and a second visual field region, are mapped with different magnifications.

  • Publication number: 20090122139
Abstract: In a display system for a motor vehicle (11), an image detecting device captures an image of the surroundings of the motor vehicle (11), the image is converted into image data by an image generating device (2), and the image data can be represented as a virtual image in the driver's (7) field of vision via a beam deflection unit (5) and a combiner (6) that features variable transmission.

  • Patent number: 6351080
Abstract: In a circuit arrangement for the dimmable operation of a fluorescent lamp at the operating frequency (f1), having an apparatus for switching the operating frequency (f1) on and off at a dimming frequency (f2), the pulse width (W2) of the dimming frequency (f2) being variable, and where f2<f1, it is provided that the fluorescent lamp current is simultaneously adjustable by the apparatus by the supply voltage being switched on and off at a switching frequency (f3) with a variable pulse width (W3), where f3>f1.

  • Patent number: 6067081
Abstract: A method of producing tactile markings on an input surface, in which information is transmitted to the input member in the form of movements of the input surface and an arrangement for the carrying out of the method. In order to produce a large number of tactile markings on an input surface at little technical expense, the position of an input member on the input surface is detected and the position so detected is compared with a virtual coordinate-oriented reference pattern which associates a given movement with each position. Depending on the position of the input member, the entire input surface carries out the movement corresponding to that position.

  • Patent number: 4980633
Abstract: A method for measuring a vehicle's own speed by the Doppler radar principle, in accordance with which microwaves of a transmission frequency are sent out by the vehicle, a part thereof being reflected back and mixed with the microwave signal at transmission frequency. In this way Doppler signals are produced which, after pulse formation, are evaluated as Doppler pulse signals by a frequency measurement in the time range plus direction-of-travel evaluation, so as to form digital Doppler signal values. For the determination of a mean Doppler period in each case, a median M(n-3) is continuously determined from a predetermined number of the last generated digital Doppler signal values of the sequence M(n-1), M(n-2), M(n-3), M(n-4), M(n-5).
