  • Patent number: 11927663
Abstract: A calibration method includes (a) connecting a impedance measuring device to an impedance standard which has at least two excitation terminals for feeding an excitation signal and two measuring terminals for determining a measurement signal, and which has a fixed or adjustable impedance which corresponds to the impedance target; (b) applying a voltage signal to the excitation terminals and measuring the current flowing through the impedance standard due to the voltage signal at the measuring terminals; or supplying a current signal to the excitation terminals and measuring the dropping voltage at the measuring terminals; and (c) calibrating the impedance measuring device against the impedance standard to the impedance target. The geometrical arrangement of terminals of the impedance standard corresponds to the geometrical arrangement of the terminals of the cell of which the impedance is to be measured.

  • Publication number: 20070183867
Abstract: An axially deformable spring washer bent so as to form a ring and joined at the circumference, wherein the spring washer is provided in the form of an undulating spring with a plurality of circumferentially formed peaks and troughs, or in the form of a plate spring with a conical shape and teeth at least one circumferential edge.

  • Patent number: 6696615
Abstract: The invention relates to an effective method of separating polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons by means of a chromatographic separation method. This is achieved by using, according to the invention, calixarene-modified separation phases as stationary phase for chromatography in order to separate polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. The calixarene-modified stationary phases are particularly suitable for separating polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in liquid chromatography separation methods.

  • Patent number: 6136438
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the modification of stationary phases which contain silanol groups with calixarene for chromatography. The silanol groups in these phases, preferably silica gel or glass, are, according to the invention, first reacted with a dialkylsilane so that a maximum number of the silanol groups of the stationary phase is modified, and then linkage takes place, by means of heterogeneous hydrosilylation, between an olefinic group which is present in the calixarene and the silane functionality of the prepared stationary phase in the presence of one or more noble metal catalysts. The invention's area of application is in column chromatography, including HPLC, thin-layer chromatography, including HPTLC, and thick-layer chromatography and gas chromatography with packed columns.

  • Patent number: 4309488
Abstract: An implantable bone replacement material (body) based on completely or partially resorbable particles incorporated in a matrix material. The particles are composed of bioactive sintered calcium phosphate ceramic material having a CaO:P.sub.2 O.sub.5 composition ratio between 3:1 and 4:1. The replacement material (body) consists of a metal containing calcium phosphate ceramic material in the form of a monolayer of particles in the peripheral areas of the material (body) which serve as interfaces to the body tissue. The metal is compatible with body tissue. The ceramic particles have a size range between about 500 .mu.m and a few millimeters. The calcium phosphate particles are located so that they lie exposed on the upper surface of the material (body). Other embodiments and processes are also disclosed.
