  • Patent number: 4941544
Abstract: A bearing arrangement for a drive assembly of a motor vehicle, particularly for a transverse three-cylinder engine, holds the drive assembly on the body side utilizing several bearings as well as a torque support. A central bearing is arranged below a horizontal plane extending through a center of gravity of the assembly, the torque support being located above this horizontal plane. The central bearing and the torque support are arranged approximately at a common vertical transverse plane extending through the center of gravity, and a support bearing is held on the front end of the assembly and is supported with respect to the vehicle body.

  • Patent number: 4901814
Abstract: A mounting of an internal combustion engine which has V-shaped cylinder rows and is installed transversely into the body of a passenger motor vehicle. The internal combustion engine is suspended at two bearing supports and is supported with respect to the body by means of two torque supports.

  • Patent number: 4889207
Abstract: An elastic bearing assembly for a driving assembly of a motor vehicle with at least engine and transmission side bearing arrangements, for holding the driving assembly with dampening of vibrations. In special arrangement, the motor or engine side bearings as well as the transmission side bearings exhibit different spring stiffness which are configured with respect to one another that the vertical vibration movements of the assembly are coupled with a rotational vibration movement about an assembly cross axis. Further the bearings are so arranged and configured that all other possible vibration or movement forms of vertical and rotational movement are substantially decoupled. During dampening of vibrations of the assembly caused by an external disturbance, respectfully all in and out spring movements of the harder bearings are hindered by an overlapping second higher frequency movement. A bearing arrangement of this type results in an advantageous quick dampening of vibrations.

  • Patent number: 4858900
Abstract: A bearing arrangement for a drive assembly of a motor vehicle is suggested that has bearings, particularly hydro-bearings, that are arranged on both sides of the engine and elastically support the engine and the drive assembly with respect to the body of the vehicle. The bearings of the assembly on the side of the engine are arranged at the level of the center of gravity and at a distance to the engine and are vertically aligned in such a way that the spring travels of the essentially excited rigid-body vibrations of the assembly extend in the same direction as the vertical longitudinal axes of the bearings. Each compression movement of the bearing that results from a bouncing and pitching vibration and/or a rolling movement can be led to it separately and can be damped jointly.

  • Patent number: 4840330
Abstract: A suspension system having elastic bearings for a drive assembly of a helicopter is described that has a belt drive that is arranged between an output shaft and a main rotor. This belt drive comprises a first drum that is connected with the output shaft and a second drum that is connected with an angular drive for the main rotor. Both drums are connected with respect to the drive by a tensionable belt. The suspension system comprises at least two bearings in the area of the belt drums as well as another bearing at the end of the assembly 1 that faces away from the belt drums. The three bearings have a spring rigidity coordination that controls the permitted rigid-body movements of the assembly. This coordination is such that limited swivel movements of the assembly can be carried out around the longitudinal axes of the belt drums as well as parallel lifting movements of the assembly can be carried out in vertical direction.

  • Patent number: 4706901
Abstract: A propulsion unit suspension for propeller driven aircrafts in which a supporting frame is supported at a fire wall; the propulsion unit together with auxiliary aggregates is retained at the supporting frame in several bearings. The bearings of the supporting frame are arranged in two horizontal planes offset in height to one another with an axial distance to one another. The arrangement of the bearings takes place in such a manner that a line of action of the gravity and a further line of action of the propeller thrust extend through an ideal surface delimited by the bearings. In particular, the forward bearing is retained at the supporting frame within the area of a vertical longitudinal plane through the center of gravity as well as above the line of action of the propeller thrust and two rear bearings are located in the supporting framework at approximately the same distance on both sides to the vertical longitudinal plane of the center of gravity and below the line of action of the propeller thrust.

  • Patent number: 4705410
Abstract: A hydraulically damping bearing which includes an inner bushing arranged in an outer bushing and an elastic element inserted therebetween. Chambers are provided within the elastic element which are filled with a damping medium and are connected with each other hydraulically by way of throttling channels extending in the area of the outer bushing. The throttling channels terminate in the chambers which, like the throttling channels, are sealed off against the outside. The bearing consists of two bearing halves adapted to be axially inserted into one another which include elastic bellows halves connected with the outer and inner bushing. The bellows halves include mutually opposite annular beads projecting into the interior of the chamber, between which is arranged an enclosed overflow channel.
