  • Publication number: 20080184669
Abstract: The invention relates to a packaging machine for inserting articles which are prepackaged in bags, into folding boxes in an insertion area. The bags can be inserted via an opening cross-section of the box which is able to be at least partially covered by an essentially flat top flap. A device having a receiving area for a top flap of a box is provided in the insertion area. The top flap is, in the insertion area, positioned in the receiving area and is kept in a convex shape so that, at least during the insertion of the bag and of the box when the top flap is convexly shaped, the opening cross-section of the box is larger than when the top flap is flat.

  • Patent number: 6971215
Abstract: An apparatus for inserting packaged material into packaging means is described. In the region of an insertion device and a preinsertion device, a packaged-material conveyor device and a packaging-means conveyor device are provided. The insertion device has at least one insertion tappet, and the preinsertion device has a covering tongue corresponding to the insertion tappet. The insertion tappets and covering tongue can be guided essentially transversely to a direction of motion of the conveyor devices, which motions can each be generated by means of a respective servomotor drive mechanism, coupled to the insertion tappet and to the covering tongue. The insertion device and the preinsertion device are adjustable in oscillating fashion parallel to the direction of motion of the conveyor devices via a further servomotor drive mechanism coupled to them, and the drive mechanisms are triggerable separately via a drive control mechanism.

  • Publication number: 20050235604
Abstract: An apparatus for delivering package inserts or the like to folding boxes in a packaging machine has a brochure device secured to a support via an adapter plate, and the support is in turn supported horizontally pivotably in a bearing block. The embodiment according to the invention makes it possible to gain access to devices located inside the apparatus in an ergonomically favorable way, in particular for maintenance work, without having to dismantle parts of the apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20050218585
Abstract: A cardboard box making maching has a product conveyor system, a brochure device, and a conveyor chain for taking over package inserts from the brochure device. The conveyor chain is capable of going around curves, so that the conveyor chain is guided laterally out of the plane of the product conveyor system directly to a transfer point disposed above and obliquely to the product conveyor system. The carboard box making machine, because of the conveyor chain, has fewer transfer points for the package inserts and therefore functions especially operationally reliably at relatively little effort and expense for equipment.

  • Publication number: 20050179195
Abstract: A transfer device for package inserts is disposed between a brochure device and a brochure conveyor system has two pairs of two conveyor belts each. To enable ejection of defective package inserts two of the conveyor belts are disposed pivotably by means of a lever, in order to form an alternative conveyor path that transfers the defective package inserts into a discard bin. The transfer device of the invention makes early ejection of defective package inserts from a cardboard box-making machine possible.

  • Patent number: 6811024
Abstract: A conveyor apparatus for folding boxes in a boxing machine has conveyor chains which are respectively supported in pairs in a guide rail and have pusher lugs attached to them, between which the folding boxes are contained in a positively engaging fashion. To permit adjustment of the conveyor apparatus with regard to different box widths and box lengths, the conveyor chains are respectively coupled to cross sectionally polygonal shafts. The format adaptation to different folding box widths is permitted by means of a self-locking adjusting mechanism, for a simple format adaptation in terms of the folding box length, according to the invention it is necessary that the gears that are operationally connected to the one guide rail be disposed on the respective shaft in a rotationally fixed, but movable fashion.

  • Publication number: 20040025472
Abstract: An apparatus (1) for inserting packaged material into packaging means is described. In the region of an insertion device (2) and a preinsertion device (3), a packaged-material conveyor device and a packaging-means conveyor device are provided. The insertion device has at least one insertion tappet (5A-5C), and the preinsertion device has a covering tongue (7A-7C) corresponding to the insertion tappet. The insertion tappets and covering tongue can be guided essentially transversely to a direction of motion of the conveyor devices, and the motions of the insertion tappet (5-A5C) and of the covering tongue can each be generated by means of a respective servomotor drive mechanism (8, 9), coupled to the insertion tappet and to the covering tongue.

  • Publication number: 20040023769
Abstract: A conveyor apparatus (10) for folding boxes (1) in a boxing machine has conveyor chains (11 to 14). The conveyor chains (11 to 14) are respectively supported in pairs in a guide rail (22, 23). The conveyor chains (11 to 14) have pusher lugs (18, 19) attached to them, between which the folding boxes (1) are contained in a positively engaging fashion. In order to permit a simple adjustment of the conveyor apparatus (10) with regard to different folding box widths and folding box lengths, the conveyor chains (11 to 14) are respectively coupled to cross sectionally polygonal shafts (41, 44). Whereas the format adaptation to different folding box widths is permitted by means of a self-locking adjusting mechanism (35), for a simple format adaptation in terms of the folding box length, according to the invention it is necessary that the gears (42, 45) that are operationally connected to the one guide rail (23) be disposed on the respective shaft (41, 44) in a rotationally fixed, but movable fashion.

  • Patent number: 6386658
Abstract: A housing for a packaging machine. The housing has guides for at least one protective plate disposed in side walls of the housing. The at least one protective plate is supported in the guides by rollers. It is essential that the protective plate can be moved in the guides in such a way that the protective plate is possible to freely access a region disposed inside the housing, the opening of the housing does not require any additional floor space for the packaging machine.
