  • Publication number: 20110232289
Abstract: A fuel nozzle including a nozzle tube and a nozzle outlet opening is provided. The nozzle tube is connected to a fuel feed line for feeding a fuel to the nozzle tube, wherein the fuel is fed from the nozzle outlet opening to an annular air stream surrounding the fuel nozzle, wherein a first nozzle tube section that extends up to the nozzle outlet opening is designed in a floral pattern in such a way that the fuel may be fed substantially coaxially into the air stream.

  • Publication number: 20110203283
Abstract: A burner arrangement is provided. The burner arrangement includes a support as well as at least two fuel nozzles, with fuel nozzle tips, attached to the support in the direction of flow and a gas feed system to the fuel nozzle tips extending through the support. Each fuel nozzle includes a support-side section which on the support side includes a contact surface with which the fuel nozzle rests on a supporting surface of the support, at least two fuel nozzle tips formed in one piece running from the support-side section in the direction of flow, the gas feed system including at least one gas feed line and its lead-through through the support, the lead-through being embodied as a fit.

  • Publication number: 20110091824
Abstract: The present invention explains a method of operating a multi-fuel combustion system. It consist of a first phase and a second phase, wherein the first phase comprises of providing ignition to a combustor basket to ignite a first type of fuel, where the first type of fuel is supplied to the combustor basket through a first conduit. Also in first phase steam is also supplied to the first conduit in addition to the first type of fuel and steam is supplied to the second conduit after the ignition. In the second phase a second type of fuel is supplied to the combustor basket after ignition of the first fuel through the second conduit, while stopping the supply of the first fuel.

  • Publication number: 20110091829
Abstract: The present invention explains a multi-fuel combustion system. It consist of a combustor basket adapted to combust at least two type of fuels. The combustor basket has got a circumferential wall comprising a plurality of openings. The combustion system further has a first conduit adapted to provide a first type of fuel directly to the combustor basket, a second conduit adapted to provide a second type of fuel directly to the combustor basket and a third conduit adapted to inject at least one of the first type of fuel and the second type of fuel through the openings into the combustor basket.

  • Publication number: 20100316966
Abstract: A burner arrangement for a combustion system for combusting liquid fuels including a burner hub, at least one air supply channel and at least one fuel supply channel for each fuel type is provided. The at least one fuel supply channel is embodied at least partially in the burner hub, with a flow divider arranged in at least one fuel supply channel, which is distanced from the wall of the fuel supply channel so that an interspace associated with the flow path of the fuel flowing through the fuel supply channel is formed between the wall of the fuel supply channel and the flow divider. A method for operating such a burner arrangement is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20100300104
Abstract: A burner incorporating a pilot cone and a mounting insert is provided. The pilot cone is constructed as a pilot cone assembly which is decoupled from the mounting insert. Further, an operating method for increasing the service life of a burner which incorporates a pilot cone assembly and a mounting insert is provided. The pilot cone assembly has a cone side and incorporates at least one further side where the further side is arranged to be essentially parallel to one of the sides of the mounting insert and spaced apart from it, so that between the further side and the side of the mounting insert there is a defined gap. In an operation of the burner, the gap is significantly reduced by the thermal expansion in at least at one point of contact between the further side and the side of the mounting insert. Finally, an assembly method is provided.
