  • Publication number: 20090195001
Abstract: The invention provides a distance piece e.g. to replace a traditional wedge e.g. for fitting a window to an opening of a building. The distance piece has two parts (2, 3) which are separable by a separation part. During use, the separation part is inserted between the two parts which are forced apart. In this condition, the separation part is locked to leave the distance piece in the expanded condition. After final fixation of the building component, the separation part can be released and moved to a position wherein the two parts are allowed to revert to a collapsed state. In that way, the distance piece facilitates reuse.

  • Publication number: 20080142655
Abstract: The present invention relates to a distance piece for obtaining and maintaining a given distance between two objects. In particular, the present invention relates to a distance piece comprising a first wedge-formed element (1) having serrated teeth arranged on a surface thereof, and a second wedge-formed element (3) having serrated teeth arranged on a surface thereof, the serrated teeth of the second wedge-formed element being adapted to engage with the serrated teeth of the first wedge-formed element. The second wedge-formed element further comprises means (8) for receiving and guiding the first wedge-formed so that the distance piece may be operated using only one hand.

  • Publication number: 20050035256
Abstract: Clamp for fixing elongated parts (30) to a grippable element (31) of a support, said clamp (1) comprising a base (2) with legs (3, 4) extending substantially in parallel, and further comprising at least two jaws (7, 8), being mutually connected and displaceable in the direction towards each other, and having on their outer sides wedge-shaped members (14, 17), said wedge-shaped members having a pointed end (15, 18), which is meant to be directed towards the legs (3, 4) during use, and an oppositely directed blunt end (16, 19), the legs on the base being meant for displacement over the wedge-shaped members of the jaws, said wedge-shaped members hereby displacing the jaws towards each other.

  • Patent number: 6405581
Abstract: Apparatus for measuring the contents of foreign matters in a fluid, in particular a buoyant apparatus, which has a housing (1) of thermoplastic synthetic material and a hole (4) in the first wall section (2) and a through-hole (5) in a second wall section (3). A sensor (9), arranged in the housing (1) and determined to measure the content of the foreign matter, protrudes into the hole (4). The outer side (10) of the sensor (9) tightly closes the hole (4) with the outer surface of the first wall section (2) and is permeable to the foreign matters that are be measured. Two parts (24,25) of the housing (1) are joined tightly in an area of edge sections (26,27).

  • Patent number: 6363770
Abstract: Apparatus for measuring the contents of foreign matters in a flowing liquid, in particular a buoyant apparatus, which has a housing (1) of which at least one wall section (2) is intended to be brought into contact with the liquid, and has a preferably spherical arched outer side and in a hole (4) a sensor (9) for the foreign matter. The sensor (9) has on its outer side in the area of the hole (4) a diaphragm (10) which is permeable to the foreign matters that are to be measured and which is arched and flush with the outer side of the wall section (2). In order to increase the flow velocity in the area of the diaphragm so that no contaminations remain adhered to the outer side of the diaphragm (10) thus influencing its permeability and thereby the measuring ability of the apparatus, the arched outer side of the wall section (2) is equipped with guiding surfaces (11) for the liquid, which project from it and extend transversely to the hole.
