  • Patent number: 9913036
Abstract: An apparatus for generating a stereo output signal includes a manipulation information generator being adapted to generate manipulation information depending on a first signal indication value of a first input channel and on a second signal indication value of a second input channel, and a manipulator for manipulating a combination signal based on the manipulation information to obtain a first manipulated signal as a first output channel and a second manipulated signal as a second output channel. The combination signal is a signal derived by combining the first input channel and the second input channel. Furthermore, the manipulator is configured for manipulating the combination signal in a first manner, when the first signal indication value is in a first relation to the second signal indication value, or in a different second manner, when the first signal indication value is in a different second relation to the second signal indication value.

  • Publication number: 20180007466
Abstract: What is disclosed is a loudspeaker reproduction system for a vehicle having a first loudspeaker array and a second loudspeaker array. The first loudspeaker array is configured to generate a first stereo or virtual multi-channel sound field, wherein the first loudspeaker array is aligned towards a driver position of the vehicle. The second loudspeaker array is configured to generate a second stereo or virtual multi-channel sound field, wherein the second loudspeaker array is aligned towards a front passenger position of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 9517732
Abstract: In embodiments of the invention, a headrest of a vehicle seat or a speaker box which can be attached to the vehicle seat or to a headrest is described. The headrest or the speaker box may have at least one speaker integrated in the headrest or in the speaker box, wherein the speaker has a main sound emission direction and wherein the speaker is fixed in the headrest or in the speaker box in such a way that the main sound emission direction is inclined with respect to a backrest main direction of the backrest of the vehicle seat.

  • Patent number: 9180822
Abstract: Embodiments disclose a vehicle which has a vehicle ceiling having a first sound wave reflection portion having a first sound wave reflection characteristic and a second portion having a second sound wave reflection characteristic, wherein the first sound wave reflection portion is more sound wave reflecting than the second sound wave reflection portion and at least one speaker arranged in the vehicle, so that a main sound emission direction is directed to the first sound wave reflection portion, so that a sound wave emitted by the speaker and reflected by the first sound wave reflection portion is perceptible as a diffuse sound by a person in the vehicle.
