  • Publication number: 20230062514
Abstract: A method for determining a protection zone with a protection radius about a wireless communication object transponder, wherein the method includes a) ascertaining a first indefinite position of the object transponder using a first locating system, b) ascertaining at least two definite anchor object distances between the object transponder and at least two anchor gateways with respective known positions via a definite distance measuring device using a two-way ranging method, and c) ascertaining the protection radius using a failsafe computing device which receives the first indefinite position from the first locating system and the at least two definite anchor object distances from the distance measuring device and determines the protection radius therefrom using the known positions of the at least two anchor gateways.

  • Publication number: 20230046478
Abstract: A method for determining a definite safe distance between a wirelessly communicating object transponder and at least one anchor gateway in accordance with a two-way ranging method, wherein transmission and reception timestamps are detected for each communication message via the transponder and the at least one anchor gateway, each of the timestamps from the transponder and the at least one anchor gateway together with at least one respective piece of timestamp monitoring information are transmitted to a failsafe computing device, at least one check is implemented via the failsafe computing device, and the definite safe distance is determined via the failsafe computing device aided by the checked timestamps, where timestamp errors occurring during the detection of the timestamps are caused solely by the transponder or alternatively solely the one anchor gateway.

  • Patent number: 10406928
Abstract: A method for determining an arrangement of an electric vehicle relative to a charging point is provided. An alternating magnetic field is transmitted by a transmitting device arranged on the electric vehicle. The alternating magnetic field is received at a location of the charging point, and the arrangement is inferred based on the received alternating field. An arrangement determination unit is configured for use in a method of this type to determine the arrangement of the electric vehicle relative to the charging point using the received alternating field.

  • Patent number: 9337888
Abstract: Message symbols are sent radio transmission using an ultra wideband transmitter emitting a pulse-phase-modulated transmission signal that has isolated pulses, each of which has a time offset in relation to a time pattern, which time offset is dependent on a message symbol that the pulse represents. The transmission signal has a line spectrum having a multiplicity of modulated frequency lines. The transmission signal is received at a receiver, which obtains a narrowband signal from a single one of the modulated frequency lines. The modulated frequency line includes a bandwidth that corresponds to less than twice a pattern frequency of the time pattern. A phase of the narrowband signal is ascertained at predetermined instants and the respectively ascertained phase is associated with one of a plurality of predetermined message symbols.
