  • Patent number: 12000446
Abstract: A drum brake having a brake drum, brake shoes, a carrier plate and a load measurement device in the region of an abutment is mountable on a steering knuckle. The abutment has a cylinder in which two pistons are guided, on the outer end faces of which the abutment ends of the brake shoes rest and the inner end faces of which are each supported by a spring on a step in the cylinder. A hollow peg projects from the outside of the cylinder and penetrates an opening in the carrier plate, such that it can be received in a receiving space in the steering knuckle resting on the carrier plate or in a reinforcement element fixed on the steering knuckle.

  • Patent number: 11578772
Abstract: The abutment of a drum brake is formed from a solid material which deforms under load, wherein measurement devices are provided which detect this deformation. The abutment has two limbs, on which the brake shoes are supported. The changing distance between the two brake shoes under load is determined by detecting the distance between extension rods on the limbs by a measurement device comprising magnets and Hall sensors or AMR sensors.

  • Patent number: 10889270
Abstract: Differentials having plate packs for exerting a braking torque onto the output shafts of the gear unit are known. The brake device is intended to be designed such that effective braking can be achieved using it and that it is easy to service. To this end, the invention makes provision for the brake device to be a drum brake having a passive element, exhibiting a cylindrical frictional surface, and brake shoes, the frictional surfaces of which brake shoes can be placed against the cylindrical frictional surface of the passive element. The passive element can be a brake drum or a radial brake disk, the cylindrical edge of which serves as a frictional surface. The passive element is fastened to the differential cage and/or one of the shafts. The brake shoes are held in a pivotable manner on a carrier plate fastened to the outside of the differential housing.

  • Patent number: 9344411
Abstract: In a method for key handling in mobile communication systems, first and second numbers are exchanged between entities of the mobile communication system. The first and second numbers are respectively used only once with respect to the respective system parameters of the communication system and therefore allowing greater security in the communication system.

  • Patent number: 9094818
Abstract: A method transmits data between network nodes of a network in a cryptographically protected manner. The network nodes are, for example, sensor nodes of a wireless sensor network. In the method, in order to transmit the data in a message, a NONCE value is created from a count value which is updated in the transmission of the message and from a constant value which is provided in a shared manner to the network nodes of the network. The data transmitted in the message is then encrypted and decrypted within the network nodes by a cryptographic key and the created NONCE value. The method offers in particular protection against replay attacks while at the same time minimizing the use of resources of the network nodes.

  • Publication number: 20110098954
Abstract: Many households are increasingly installing systems for their own electricity supply from renewable energies, for example for economical or ecological reasons. If a household produces more electricity than it needs for its own use, it can feed the surplus amount of power into the electrical grid. In order to promote investment in corresponding systems, the payments for the power fed in are subsidized in many countries, with the result that comparatively high remuneration can be paid for the power fed in. Consequently, there is a great incentive to manipulate electricity meters for measuring the amount of power fed in. Hence, a system for detecting the amount of power fed in in a manner which is protected against manipulation can be provided, in which system the amount of power actually produced and that fed in can be balanced.
