  • Publication number: 20020095761
Abstract: A hand jack that is associated with a frame structure for pressing spike metal plates into one or more wood members. The hand jack is secured within a generally C-shaped frame and is suspended from a support member that forms a portion of the C-shaped frame. Between the base of the hand jack and the other support member there is defined a receiving area or a press area for receiving one or more wood members and at least one spike metal plate. By actuating the hand jack, a portion of the jack moves into engagement with the spike metal plate and presses the same into the one or more wood members.

  • Patent number: 5459917
Abstract: A tool is provided that includes a claw head wherein the claw head includes a plurality of laterally spaced claw fingers. The claw fingers are particularly sized and spaced such that they can be projected down through the exposed side of a spiked metal connecting plate and particularly through the perforated openings formed therein. More particularly, the claw fingers are designed such that the entire tool and claw head is effective to remove or peel the spiked metal connecting plate from one or more connecting wood members.

  • Patent number: 4625453
Abstract: The present invention provides a clean, sanitary, and safe apparatus for capturing flies, and flying insects from the air. Specifically, the method and apparatus of the present invention entails a timed vacuum source for generating a system of moving air that is induced over an insect induction area. The velocity of the air is increased as it passes over the insect induction area. • Patent number: 4497355
Abstract: The present invention relates to a woodwork cutting device such as wood chisel or plane iron blade having a cutting end, one side with a beveled cutting edge formed about the cutting end thereof, and opposite back side, and two side edges. Provided about the back side of the woodwork cutting device is a plurality of transversely extending and longitudinally spaced grinding guides that extend generally parallel with respect to the beveled cutting edge. This allows an individual sharpening the woodwork cutting device of the present invention to maintain the cutting edge perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the blade. In addition, about at least one side edge of the blade portion of the woodwork cutting device is a series of grinding angle guides that extend in parallel relationship with the angle or plane of the beveled cutting edge.
