  • Patent number: 7176916
Abstract: Tomographic projection data is segmented spatially by forming segmentation masks over the full outlines of objects appearing in isolation within selected data frame images. Further processing locates the object outlines in other data frames. Predictable effects of attenuation are used to attribute appropriate amounts of intensity to the segmented object space. Separate image reconstructions can be made of the segmented object data and the remaining projection data to independently optimize the reconstructions. Composite images can be made of the separate reconstructions.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 15, 2005
Date of Patent: February 13, 2007
    Assignee: T.I.E.S., Inc.

  • Publication number: 20040034647
Abstract: The present invention is a method for archiving data stored in a plurality of linked web pages, including traversing the plurality of web pages by recursively following the links to identify each of the individual web pages to be archived; making a list of web pages to be archived; sequentially retrieving the contents of each web page on the list; forming a digital image of the visible content of each web page; and ultimately creating a visually perceptible archival copy of each web page from the digital image on a durable, human readable medium.

  • Patent number: 5536857
Abstract: Novel single-source volatile precursor compounds are disclosed, having the general formula(RO).sub.3 Si--O--Ti (OR).sub.3where each of the six R moieties in the C.sub.3 to C.sub.6 alkyl, preferably all being tert-butyl. The precursor compounds are suitable for use in dissociation methods, such as sol-gel and chemical vapor deposition, for preparing powders and films of stoichiometric SiO.sub.2.TiO.sub.2. Optical films to provide an anti-reflective surface on a lens, window or the like and powders for catalytic substrates, etc. are prepared using the SiO.sub.2.TiO.sub.2 yielded by the single-source volatile precursor compound.

  • Patent number: 5385751
Abstract: A film of fluorine-doped tungsten oxide is provided on a substrate by reacting together tungsten alkoxide, an oxygen-containing compound, and a fluorine-containing compound.

  • Patent number: 5324537
Abstract: The procsses disclosed is for preparing a film of fluorine-modified tungsten oxide on a substrate. The process comprises providing a tungsten oxide film on the substrate and then exposing the tungsten oxide film at an elevated temperature to a stream of a gaseous fluorocarbon. The exposure takes place for a time sufficient to modify the tungsten oxide with fluorine and form a film having modified infrared adsorption and reflectant properties.

  • Patent number: 5178911
Abstract: A process for depositing a thin film of a main group metal nitride, e.g., AlN, GaN or Sn.sub.3 N.sub.4, is provided. The vapors of a main group metal amido compound are mixed with ammonia gas and allowed to react near a substrate heated to a temperature in the range of 100.degree. C. to 400.degree. C. resulting in deposition of a film on the substrate.
