  • Patent number: 5787804
Abstract: A silk-screen printing machine with safe removal of the printed product including a support structure, a printing head provided with a doctor blade and scraper and on which a silk-screen frame can be positioned, a printing table and, located to the side of the printing table, an element for depositing and collecting the printed product, in which the printing table is provided with a plurality of grooves, into the grooves there being insertable gripping elements which can be moved between a position in correspondence with the depositing and collecting element and a position inside the grooves. In this manner the printed product can be manipulated without danger of scoring its totally printed upper surface.

  • Patent number: 4526100
Abstract: A gripper device for transporting and registering sheets of any type under the printing heads of silk screening and the like printing machines, which comprises a box-like supporting body having hingedly connected thereto, against the bias of preloaded spring members, a plate-like element forming a flat jaw, and juxtaposed thereto, a plurality of flat surface gripper elements which are set in mutual alignment and for oscillation about a parallel axis to said juxtaposed jaw and adapted to be brought close against said juxtaposed jaw by means of at least one slide element which is driven reciprocatingly by a drive shaft from the silk screen printer, said slide element being provided with an actuating means cooperating with means associated with said flat jaw and with said plurality of juxtaposed gripper elements and adapted to produce, as said slide is being reciprocated, a rotation of said plurality of gripper elements about their own axes toward said opposed flat jaw and to allow said flat jaw to be disengaged

  • Patent number: 4372203
Abstract: For use in a silk screen printing machine including an impression cylinder and a doctor-blade mounted parallel to the surface of the impression cylinder for movement relative thereto; a doctor-blade supported at opposite axial ends respectively by a pair of fluid pressure operated piston and cylinder devices and flow control valves are disposed between a source of pressurized fluid and the devices respectively for raising and lowering the doctor-blade relative to the impression cylinder. A cam mounted for rotation with the impression cylinder coacts with a switch to operate the control valves.Combined with the above are a pair of additional piston and cylinder devices coupled to said doctor-blade support, and associated control valves for controlling the pressure or force applied by the doctor-blade to the surface of the impression roller.

  • Patent number: 4273044
Abstract: An alignment apparatus is provided for a serigraphic printing machine to align the objects to be printed on with the printing panels assuring alignment of the different colors applied at the several printing stations. The objects to be printed on are carried by supports which have a centering plate thereon and are pivoted around a pin opposite the centering plate. Each printing station is provided with a centering pin in registration with the printing panel at each station. Each centering pin is engaged into a slot of the centering plate to align the support and the object with the printing panel when printing is to occur. All of the centering pins are fixed along a rotatable rod adjacent the printing stations which is rotated by a hydraulic piston to engage the centering pins into their respective centering plate slots.

  • Patent number: 3945317
Abstract: Automatic registration of the web of sheet material on a printing cylinder is effected in a silk screen printing apparatus which includes a printing frame reciprocably movable in an impressing and return cycle. A printing cylinder is arranged for carrying a web of sheet material in impression receiving relation to said printing frame during the impression-forming portion of its movement. Web guide rollers are arranged to direct the web to and from said printing cylinder. A first drive arrangement, including a first motor, is connected both to drive the printing frame reciprocably and said printing cylinder unidirectionally in the impression-receiving direction. The printing cylinder is disengaged from the first drive during the reverse travel of the printing frame so that the web is stationary. A second drive arrangement is provided, including a second motor, connected to drive the printing cylinder in a second direction, that is the reverse of the printing direction.

  • Patent number: 3938646
Abstract: The conveyor is formed of a plurality of endless belts arranged with their upper reaches parallel in horizontally spaced rows and include a pair of downwardly directed loops. The diverting or deviating apparatus comprises a second set of endless belts, at least one being movable in each loop in a direction transverse to the conveyor, the second set being mounted to be raised and lowered selectively to dispose their upper reaches above or below the plane of the conveyor. A suction generating device is arranged to apply suction to objects so as to cause them to be engaged by the transversely directed belts at selected times. Fingers are provided on the downstream side of the loop pair and are arranged selectively to intercept and stop the object traveling along the conveyor. When the object is stopped, the second set of belts is raised above the plane of the upper reach of the conveyor and suction applied. The transversely directed belts engage the object and direct it transversely of its original path.
