  • Patent number: 11155468
Abstract: Process for the synthesis of ammonia comprising the steps of reforming of a hydrocarbon feedstock into a raw product gas, purification of said raw product gas obtaining a make-up synthesis gas, conversion of said synthesis gas into ammonia; said purification includes shift conversion of carbon monoxide into carbon dioxide and the reforming process requires a heat input which is at least partially recovered from at least one of said step of shift conversion, which is carried out with a peak temperature of at least 450° C., and said step of conversion into ammonia.

  • Publication number: 20210261425
Abstract: A process for the synthesis of ammonia from a hydrocarbon feedstock, wherein the process includes reforming the hydrocarbon feedstock to produce a make-up gas and converting said make-up gas into ammonia, the process is performed in an ammonia synthesis plant requiring an electric power for operation and also requiring a start-up power (Ps) for start-up, wherein a first electric power (P1) is internally produced in the ammonia plant, and a second electric power (P2) is imported, wherein said second electric power is equal to or greater than said start-up power (Ps).

  • Patent number: 4934819
Abstract: The value of a transverse moment of any order of the electromagnetic field associated with an optical beam (and in particular the spot-size of such a beam) is determined by two successive measurements of the optical power of the beam: one measurement is a direct measurement, the other is effected after spatially modulating the transverse distribution of the electromagnetic field by a factor proportional to the n-th power of the transverse coordinate of the beam, n being the moment order. The moment can be obtained from the ratio between the two measurements. The invention includes also the apparatus for carrying out the method.

  • Patent number: 3967205
Abstract: In order to convert a basic frequency by an odd integer K = 2n.+-.1, a square wave of that basic frequency is fed alternately over a noninverting and an inverting branch of a switching circuit to a pulse counter working into a decoder which emits a resetting pulse for the counter on every n.sup.th cycle. A flip-flop alternately set and reset by successive setting pulses feeds back a control signal to the switching circuit for a periodic reversal of the polarity of the incoming square wave either in the middle of the n.sup.th cycle, for K = 2n-1, or after a half-cycle delay from the end of the n.sup.th cycle, for K = 2n+1.

  • Patent number: 3961277
Abstract: To demodulate an incoming oscillation consisting of a succession of distinct signal frequencies, particularly in a data-transmission system using an alternation of two keying frequencies, the incoming oscillation is squared and then passed through a differentiator deriving a pair of closely spaced trigger pulses from any zero crossing of the incoming oscillation. The first trigger pulse causes the transfer of the contents of a buffer register, receiving the reading of a pulse counter, into a digital/analog converter whose output is compared with a reference voltage in a threshold circuit; the second trigger pulse resets the counter which receives locally generated clock pulses whose cadence is high compared to the signal frequencies.
