  • Patent number: 11929782
Abstract: A method for transmitting electromagnetic signals by a vehicle moving towards a target device including a communication system provided with a radiating system that receives and transmits electromagnetic signals, performs an alignment step with the target device to establish a first communication direction with the target device, communicates with the target device by orienting the radiating system to receive and transmit data along the first communication direction, and performs a subsequent phase for maintaining the alignment with the target device to determine a future position and an orientation of the radiating system with a sensor being operatively connected to an electronic control unit of the vehicle configured to implement control and/or driving assistance functions of the vehicle based on information received from the sensor, and ultimately orientates the electromagnetic signals emitted by the radiating system on the basis of the determined direction of communication.

  • Publication number: 20230269566
Abstract: A method of communication between two agents, at least one of which is a mobile vehicle, where a first agent includes at least one sensor and a second agent includes a second sensor. The second agent sends to the first agent, via a radio link, features and control parameters of the second sensor necessary to directly query the second sensor. The first agent sends to the second sensor a request for data selected by the first agent on the basis of a selection criterion dependent on the features of the second sensor, the request generated using the control parameters of the second sensor. The second agent sends to the first agent the second sensor’s data requested with said data request. Several agents adapted to implement the method are also described.

  • Publication number: 20100254311
Abstract: A model of a pulse-coupled discrete-time phase locked loops (PLLs) in a wireless network is provided. The PLLs at each node in the network may have an indeterminate order. A method for securing discrete-time distributed phase locked loops (PLLs) in a wireless network by including an outlier detection scheme in the timing update at each node is also provided. The method may include evaluating each collaborating node based on a weighted average of the clock errors and evaluating the dispersion of clock errors.

  • Patent number: 7756007
Abstract: A channel response matrix gathering all unknown elements for all K pilot subcarriers on links between transmitting and receiving antennas, is Least Squares (full-rank) estimated. The interference covariance matrix is estimated from the residual. The correlation of the interference covariance matrix is computed at each new symbol and compared with a threshold. If the interference is significantly changed, the interference covariance matrix is re-initialized, otherwise a running average of the interference covariance matrix is updated with the actual value. Both the updated/re-initialized interference covariance matrix and the autocorrelation matrix of the transmitted pilot sequences (stored in the receiver) are used for whitening the estimated channel matrix before submission to modal filtering for rank reduction. The original spatial and/or temporal correlations are reintroduced in the reduced-rank channel matrix by inverse whitening.

  • Publication number: 20040008803
Abstract: The present invention relates to a device and method for channel estimation. The method of channel estimation for slotted radio communication systems, in particular, mobile communication systems determines a least squares estimate of the channel and refines such estimate by a noise reduction through a Reduced-Complexity approach. The refinement includes determination of spatial and temporal subspaces respectively comprising the actual directions of arrival of the signal among all distinguishable directions and the actual times of arrival of the signal among all distinguishable times of arrival, and the projection of the least squares estimate on said subspaces.
