  • Publication number: 20230355894
Abstract: An injection needle including a shaft extending between a hub end, an injection end, and a lumen formed within the shaft. The lumen forms an opening that extends through the shaft from the hub end to the injection end. The injection end includes a bevel having a point and a heel, with the opening formed by the lumen passing through the bevel. Multiple slots may be formed within the shaft close to the injection end and near the bevel. The multiple slots may include a first group on one side of the shaft and a second group on an opposing side of the shaft.

  • Patent number: 7599386
Abstract: The objective of the invention is to devise a method for establishing a subscriber connection and a system applying the method. According to the method, a digital subscriber connection consisting of a composition of an optical fiber and a metallic pair cable is implemented by transporting a digital information stream in two directions over an optical fiber (2) between a central site and equipment (103) which is connected to the metallic pair cable (4) of each subscriber. According to the invention, the information streams transmitted and received over the pair cables are multiplexed onto the optical fiber by using a multiplexing method of optical signals, whereby the information streams originating from different subscribers are combined onto the fiber by means of passive optical elements and whereby the information streams transmitted from the central site are distributed to each subscriber-specific optical-to-electric conversion element (105) by means of passive optical elements.

  • Publication number: 20040234269
Abstract: The objective of the invention is a method for establishing a subscriber connection and a system applying the method. According to the method, a digital subscriber connection of the FTTC type, consisting of a composition of an optical fiber and a metallic pair cable, is implemented by means of subscriber-specific DSL modems, whereby (a) a subscriber connection comprises an optical fiber (3), a metallic pair cable (6), and equipment (8) adapting the said fiber and cable to each other so that the optical fiber goes towards the telephone exchange or conentrator and the pair cable goes towards the subscriber, and (b) each DSL modem comprises digital transmitter and receiver elements (21,22) connected functionally to analog parts (5) that are adapted to convert (i) the digital output signal of the digital transmitter element (21) into analog form and (ii) the analog signal intended for the receiver element (22) into digital form.
