Abstract: Coupling arrangement intended for mounting on a towing vehicle provided with parallel frame side members and for coupling the towing vehicle detachably to a towed vehicle such as a trailer. The arrangement incorporates a fifth wheel which is tiltably connected to the frame side members by tilt pivot mountings in the regions of the frame side members. Each tilt pivot mounting incorporates a vertically upright support device made integrally and intended to be fastened directly by means of a lower fastening portion to the outside of a vertical web portion of the respective adjacent frame side member. The support device has in its upper end a bearing sleeve in which a hingepin mounted on the underside of the fifth wheel is supported. Each support device incorporates at least two supporting legs which extend between and converge from the fastening portion to the bearing sleeve and a central support leg between the fastening portion and the bearing sleeve.

Abstract: A sealing ring for sealing the space between two substantially coaxial sealing surfaces which are axially insertable one in the other to a jointed position, especially for sealing the annular space between socket and spigot end of a pipe joint, comprises a first sealing portion (2) and a second sealing portion (4). The sealing portions are adapted at the axial insertion movement substantially stationary to engage one surface each of said sealing surfaces and to slide against each other. The first and the second sealing portion are by means of a releasable and/or substantially expensible connector portion (6) connected with each other at least at the front side of the sealing ring in respect of the direction of insertion movement of the second sealing surface during the jointing of the sealing surfaces.

Abstract: The invention is directed to an apparatus for resetting the vibration amplitude of a hydraulically driven vibration device having two eccentric weights arranged on a rotating shaft and rotatable relative to each other. The amplitude-resetting arrangement includes a hydraulic directional valve for resetting the vibration device between high and low amplitudes. The valve is electrically operated and the electric control circuit incorporates a time-delay relay for delaying the amplitude change until the speed of the rotating shaft has been reduced to an acceptable level.
