Publication number: 20230338825Abstract: A multi-ball roulette mechanism having an annular stationary rim with an upwardly curved face around which two or more roulette balls travel. A rotating roulette wheel is positioned in a central opening of the stationary rim, both of which are supported by a base. The two or more roulette balls travel from the curved face into pockets of the roulette wheel. A roulette ball launching system launches the two or more roulette balls spinning around the stationary rim in a direction opposite the roulette wheel. The curved face of the stationary rim includes a path around which the roulette balls travel. The path may include two or more separate tracks or a continual spiral. A first roulette ball is launched by the roulette ball launching system onto the path to rotate around the stationary rim while moving down the curved face toward the roulette wheel as the first roulette ball loses momentum.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 25, 2022Publication date: October 26, 2023Inventors: Urban BERGANT, John Joseph CONNELLY, Andrej TOMELJAK, Ajda REMSKAR

Publication number: 20230338823Abstract: A method for using a roulette mechanism where a ball is launched onto a rim having a central opening and a face around which balls travel until falling pockets distributed around a central cone. The pockets are configured hold the balls. The pockets correspond to unique identifiers on the roulette wheel. The cone includes an edge, sub-pockets under the edge and a motor. The edge stops a ball in a pocket. The motor raises and lowers the edge so that ball move from a pocket to the sub-pocket. When a ball falls into a pocket the ball is moved to a sub-pocket. The outcome for the ball is indicated based on the pocket and then more balls are launched while the ball is in the sub-pocket.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 15, 2023Publication date: October 26, 2023Inventors: Urban BERGANT, John Joseph CONNELLY, Andrej TOMELJAK, Ajda REMSKAR, Tomaz FINK, Benjamin ZAVBI, Emil KEK

Publication number: 20230338824Abstract: A roulette mechanism having a base, a stationary rim mounted on the base having a central opening and a curved face around which roulette balls travel, a rotating roulette wheel configured to spin and positioned in the central opening of the and supported by the base. The roulette wheel includes a movable central cone and pockets distributed around the movable central cone, the pockets hold one or more roulette balls that fall from the rim into pockets. Each pocket corresponds to unique identifiers on the roulette wheel. The cone includes an edge, a number of sub-pockets under the edge and a motor. The edge is configured to stop a roulette ball that has entered a pocket. The motor is configured to raise the edge so that the roulette ball moves from the pocket to the sub-pocket and to lower the edge once the roulette ball is in the sub-pocket.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 15, 2023Publication date: October 26, 2023Inventors: Urban BERGANT, John Joseph CONNELLY, Andrej TOMELJAK, Ajda REMSKAR, Mirko KLANJSCEK, Benjamin ZAVBI, Emil KEK

Publication number: 20230053002Abstract: A tilt detection system including a roulette wheel, at least one inclination sensor positioned on or within a rim of the roulette wheel, and a display module comprising a plurality of light outputs. The tilt detection system can obtain positional data during operation of the roulette wheel and determine tilt data indicative of the roulette wheel's position relative to a baseline indicative of a leveled state. A roulette wheel tilt status, e.g., level, warning, and error, may be determined based on the tilt data, and a display module can activate the plurality of light outputs based on the tilt status. Two or more stepper motors may lever the roulette wheel in response to the tilt status.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 26, 2022Publication date: February 16, 2023Inventor: Urban Bergant

Patent number: 11335158Abstract: A rotating wheel system includes face segments separated by posts positioned around a perimeter and a flexible pointer that interacts with the pegs as the wheel rotates. The system controls rotation of the wheel, randomly selects a segment at which to stop prior to the wheel being rotated based on a randomly selected friction deceleration and a randomly selected damping time constant, and controls rotation of the wheel to make it appear as though the wheel randomly stopped at the preselected segment. The system includes one or more player stations that are notified of the selected segment after the wheel is stopped. The system includes a second bonus wheel that is triggered when the selected segment is a trigger segment. The bonus wheel can be a physical wheel that is part of the wheel, a display that is part of the wheel, or displayed on a player station.Type: GrantFiled: September 18, 2020Date of Patent: May 17, 2022Assignee: INTERBLOCK D.D.Inventors: Joze Pececnik, Urban Bergant, Peter Kroselj, Ivo Zavbi

Patent number: 11325025Abstract: Methods are described for controlling movement of dice in a gaming system. The gaming system includes an input device controllable by a user and a platform for holding the dice. The platform may be moved up and down by a drive to cause the dice to be moved upward and thrown above the surface of the platform. Data received from the input device may be used to determine the upward motion of the platform. The data may include the distance a user is from the input device. The data may also include how hard, how far and/or how fast a user pushes the input device. Data received from the input device may not be used to determine the upward motion of the platform. The time at which the platform may be moved may be randomly determined.Type: GrantFiled: October 5, 2020Date of Patent: May 10, 2022Assignee: INTERBLOCK D.D.Inventors: Urban Bergant, Ivo Zavbi, Peter Kroselj
