Abstract: Insole formed as a composite of a network of reinforcing fibers embedded in a matrix of a thermoplastic material having a softening temperature in the order of 90.degree. C. and retains its softening for a reasonable time at a lower temperature that is not uncomfortable to the human skin. The insole is formed to the shape of the bottom of the wearer's foot by placing it while still soft in the shoe and allowing it to harden while being subjected to the wearer's standing weight.

Abstract: A floating dock section is attachable to adjacent sections to provide floating dock structures of various configurations. The sections are formed by coating polymer foam with a polyurethane elastomer so as to seal the polymer foam. A decking is affixed to the coated foam with an adhesive which may be a polyurethane elastomer and extending downwardly from the decking are edge members that tightly grip the polymer foam. The entire structure is coated when assembled by applying a polyurethane elastomer of somewhat denser material and the decking itself may be suitably roughened to avoid slippage.

The need for an intermediate metal, plastic, or paper substrate is eleiminated. By treating the upper surface of the adhesive to render it substantially tack free, the printing and/or decoration may be applied to that surface and the cap formed directly thereon.

Abstract: A method of making a pressure sensitive adhesive stock material for tags or labels is provided which eliminates the need for a self-supporting paper, cardboard, or plastic substrate. A layer of pressure sensitive adhesive is provided, preferably on a release liner. The upper surface of the adhesive is then treated to render it substantially tack free and suitable for printing directly thereon.
