  • Patent number: 11008173
Abstract: The bottom tier (24) of a conveyor belt (22) arranged in a spiral stack (26) is supported by and driven by inner and outer drive chains (28) and (30). The inner and outer drive chains are supported on and ride along support rails (32) and (34). The inner and outer drive chains are driven by a drive system (35) composed of inner and outer drive systems (36) and (38), each including a drive motor with a drive gear engaged with the inner and outer drive chains. Each of the motors is controlled by a separate variable frequency drive unit (114) and (116) which in turn are controlled by a control system (44). The control system (44) also controls the operation of a lubrication system (40) that supplies lubricant to the drive chains.

  • Patent number: 8800757
Abstract: A lateral plate element (6, 6?) for a link means (4, 4?) for a self-stacking, helical endless conveyor belt (1), the lateral plate element, comprises an outer plate section (10), an inner plate section (20) and a bridging plate section (30) bridging the outer and inner plate sections (10, 20). The outer plate section (10) comprises a top subsection (11) extending in a first plane and wherein the inner plate section (20) comprises a top subsection (21) extending in a second plane, the second plane being offset, in an inward direction (A). The outer plate section (10) further comprises a bottom subsection (12) arranged in a bottom part of the outer plate section (10) and extending in a third plane being offset in the inward direction (A) with regard to the first plane. The lateral plate element further comprises a reinforcement (13) extending between the top subsection (11) and the bottom subsection (12) of the outer plate section (10).

  • Publication number: 20130270074
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a lateral plate element (6, 6?) for a link means (4, 4?) included in a self-stacking endless conveyor belt (1), in which the conveyor belt (1) extends helically along part of its length. The lateral plate element, comprises an outer plate section (10), an inner plate section (20) and a bridging plate section (30) bridging said outer and inner plate sections (10, 20). Said outer plate section (10) comprises a top subsection (11) extending in a first plane and wherein said inner plate section (20) comprises a top subsection (21) extending in a second plane, said second plane being offset, in an inward direction (A), with regard to said first plane. Said outer plate section (10) further comprises a bottom subsection (12) arranged in a bottom part of said outer plate section (10) and extending in a third plane being offset in said inward direction (A) with regard to said first plane.

  • Patent number: 8167751
Abstract: A conveyor belt comprising a plurality of successive belt elements (2), each belt element (2) comprising at least one transverse rod (4) and two opposing side members (3) connected to each other by the at least one transverse rod (4), and a link (6) forming a joint intermediate the lateral edges (7a, 7b) of the conveyor belt between the adjoining transverse rods (4) of each pair of adjoining belt elements (2). Each link (6) comprises a plate (11) in which two successive rod receiving holes (12) are formed, wherein the rod receiving holes (12) have an offset (O) towards a first side (13) of said plate (11) and wherein a recess (16) is formed in said first side (13) of the plate (11), between said rod receiving holes (12).

  • Publication number: 20080214343
Abstract: A chain link for a conveyor chain included in a sup-porting installation, comprising an upper flange (17) and a lower flange (18), a first connecting element (21) and a second connecting element (22). The first and second connecting elements (21, 22) are arranged so that the chain link is laterally pivotable relative to a second and a third chain link. The connecting elements (21, 22) are arranged at a distance (D) from each other in a lon-gitudinal direction (P1) along which the chain link and also the second and the third chain link are arranged, the lower flange being connected to the upper flange and arranged at a distance therefrom seen in a direction per-pendicular to both the longitudinal direction (P1) and a transverse direction (P2) of the chain link.
