  • Publication number: 20180240336
Abstract: A method and system for monitoring and enforcing suspect traffic violations using multiple data streams are provided. The method comprises capturing a video stream of traffic in a field of view of a first traffic monitoring system; identifying a license plate number of a vehicle shown in the captured view stream; obtaining data streams from at least one second traffic monitoring system; identifying a driving pattern of the vehicle based on the captured video stream and the obtained data streams; and analyzing the identified driving pattern and the license plate number of the vehicle to determine a suspect traffic violation committed by the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20170006255
Abstract: A system and method for efficient video-based traffic monitoring are provided. The method includes receiving a first video stream potentially capturing road behavior violations; converting the first video stream into a second video stream, the first video stream having a first data rate and the second video stream having a second data rate, wherein the second data rate is lower than the first data rate; transmitting the second video stream to a remote node; receiving a request from the remote node for at least one portion of the first video stream; and transmitting the at least one portion of the first video stream, wherein the at least one portion is transmitted at the first data rate.

  • Publication number: 20150102946
Abstract: A method and system for enforcing parking rules are provided. The method includes receiving, from at least one source, a captured visual content showing a suspected vehicle and at least one potential sign of an illegally parked vehicle; identifying the at least one potential sign of an illegally parked vehicle in the captured visual content; determining whether the suspected vehicle is parked illegally respective of the at least one potential sign of an illegally parked vehicle and at least one parking rule; and upon determining that the suspected vehicle is parked illegally, sending a potential citation.

  • Publication number: 20020059184
Abstract: A system and method for providing real-time, subject oriented communication between two or More users Specifically, the present invention enables two or more users sharing an interest in the same subject area to become aware of each other, and therefore to communicate with each other in real time as a result. Such communication is initiated when each user interacts with a client to provide a string of characters to a central server, which then compares these strings of characters according to a comparison process. If the strings of characters are comparable according to this process, then the central server notifies each client thereby enabling the two clients to communicate.
