    Abstract: A device may include a display for displaying an image frame based on warped image data and image processing circuitry to generate the warped image data by warping input image data to account for one or more distortions associated with displaying the image. The image processing circuitry may include a two-stage cache architecture having an first cache and an second cache and warp the input image data by generating mapping data indicative of a warp between the input image space and the output image space and fetching the input image data to populate the first cache. Warping may also include populating the second cache with a grouping of pixel values from the first cache that are selected according to a sliding window that traverses the first cache based on the mapping data and interpolating between pixel values of the grouping to generate pixel values of the warped image data.

    Abstract: Systems and methods directed to determining motion in a video signal are provided. A plurality of pixels of a plurality of adjacent field lines of alternating parity of the video signal are evaluated to generate a plurality of differential values. A sign of each differential value is determined, and when each differential value has the same sign, at least one differential value can be compared with a threshold value. Responsive to the comparison of at least one differential value with a threshold value, a motion coefficient indicative of a magnitude of motion associated with one of the plurality of pixels can be generated.

    Abstract: Systems and methods directed to processing a video signal, either interlaced or progressive, are provided. A plurality of samples of a reconstructed macroblock of the video signal are evaluated to generate data associated with at least one of the plurality of samples. The data and the reconstructed macroblock can be provided from memory to a deinterlacer unit, and the method can control the deinterlacer unit to deinterlace the reconstructed macroblock based at least in part on the data. Artifacts of the video signal can be identified and removed based on the stored sample data associated with the samples.
