  • Patent number: 8757287
Abstract: An electric-motor kitchen appliance, in particular an electric-motor handheld device, preferably a hand mixer, includes a switch. The invention also relates to a finger-actuated electric control for the switch, and to a method for switching on/off a kitchen appliance. The switch is unlocked when the safety switch is actuated by the finger of a user. The safety switch is electronically switched. The possibility of unintentionally operating the electric-motor of the kitchen appliance is reduced due to the manual operation of the two separate switches. As a result, the safety of the electric-motor kitchen appliance in the household is significantly increased.

  • Patent number: 8353620
Abstract: A hand-held kitchen appliance, in particular a stick blender, comprising a housing with at least one first housing shell, a second housing shell and a fixing element for connecting the two housing shells. According to the invention, the fixing element comprises a tensioning element, which engages with the first housing shell at least at two separate fixing points, pressing the first housing shell against the second housing shell at said two points. The kitchen appliance and the method for producing the same are characterized by a particularly simple construction and produce an excellent seal for the housing despite the use of a reduced number of screw connections.

  • Patent number: 7472646
Abstract: A domestic appliance comprising at least one housing part with a detent element and at least one second housing part with a detent counter-element. Said elements are designed to interconnect the housing parts and are associated with a locking element, which is used to secure the detent elements, when the locking element is in the locked position, from becoming detached from the detent counter-elements. The aim of the invention is to facilitate the assembly and disassembly of the detent device. To achieve this, the locking element comprises a first end that is supported on one of the housing parts and a second end that engages with the detent element in the locked position. The locking element can thus be pivoted back and forth in a simple manner between a release position and a locked position, facilitating a more rapid, simpler assembly and disassembly.

  • Publication number: 20060123996
Abstract: A kitchen appliance comprising a housing (14), a pitcher (22) that can be removed from the housing (14), a driving motor (16) that is disposed inside the housing (14), and a tool shaft (12) of a coupling device (32), which is arranged inside the pitcher (22) and is mounted via a shaft bearing (50). The coupling device (32) is provided with an output coupling (35) that is disposed on the driving motor (16) and an input coupling (37) which is placed on the tool shaft (12) and matches the output coupling (35). The inventive kitchen appliance further comprises a cooling air duct with a port (43) that is located on the housing (14), and a lid (40) that can take in an open position in which the port (43) is open and a closed position in which said port (43) is closed. The lid (40) can be moved into the open position by coupling the input coupling (37) to the output coupling (35).

  • Publication number: 20050045011
Abstract: A food slicer has a housing with a front wall that serves as a positioning plate and a back wall formed with an opening in which a rotary knob is mounted for adjusting the positioning plate. The rotary knob has a threaded section, a handle section, and a catch device. The rotary knob, which adjusts the cutting width upon rotation, becomes dirty only slightly during use and it is easy to clean. The catch device is configured such that, when the knob is mounted in the housing, it is covered and cannot be seen from the outside. The advantage thereof is that dirt is prevented from being deposited on protruding catching hooks or on sections of the housing or on the rotational handle.
