  • Publication number: 20070218210
Abstract: A protective layer for the protection of armoured objects includes a layer comprised solely of a polyurethane elastomer with a Shore A hardness of 3 to 6 and a thickness of 16 to 35 mm. The polyurethane elastomer layer is formed by combining 100 wt percent of a polyols-based component with 50 wt percent of an isocyanates-based component under a pressure of 100-160 mm and ejecting the blend through an enlarged nozzle with respect to the component supply lines into molds at a thickness of 16-35 mm.
