    Abstract: An apparatus (1) for the clocked longitudinal transport of workpieces (11) between processing stations in a transfer press. The apparatus has, at least on one side, a first (2) and a second (3) longitudinally movable control element as a control group (2, 3), wherein two control elements (2, 3) are mounted to be movable relative to each other solely in the longitudinal direction, and the control elements (2, 3) are driven via a common shaft (58). The first control element is a gripper rod (2) for the longitudinal transport of workpieces (11) between the processing stations, and gripper elements (4), offset in the longitudinal direction by the distance between the processing stations, are mounted in the gripper rod (2) and can be moved solely in the transversal direction. The second control element is a thrust rod (3) which forcibly controls the transversal movement of the at least two gripper elements (4).

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a rolled edge from a cylindrical edge portion (11) of a pipe. In the method, a starting zone (14) of the edge portion (11) is rolled by a forcibly controlled tool (30). The method according to the invention is characterized in that the starting zone (14) of the edge portion (11) is folded over by the tool (30), which comprises a folding die (37) and counterholder (34), at an angle (?) in the range from 75-105° from the axial direction (45) into a substantially radially peripheral flange (41). The invention further relates to elements, in particular in the forme of an aerosol dome, having such rolled edges.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing lamella packets (60, 70) of the type normally used in adjustable steering columns in automobiles and which comprise a soft lamella (71) made of soft sheet metal material and at least one layered hard lamella (71) placed on top of said material. The lamella (71, 74) are connected by at least one rivet made of soft lamella (71). The method is characterized by the use of presses (110, 120) positioned one after the other. A soft lamella (71) is formed and stamped out of a strip (111) of said softer material in the first press (110) at a rate dictated by the press (110). Soft lamella (71) produced in this matter are transported to the second press (120). At least one hard lamella (72, 74) is completely formed in a second press (120) from a band (121) of harder sheet material and then stamped. Said hard lamella is placed over a soft lamella (71) and a rivet connection is produced.
