  • Publication number: 20160124441
Abstract: The invention relates to a pressure equalising insert (1) which is provided for installation in a valve (10) for regulating a fluid stream in particular in a HVAC system. The pressure equalising insert (1) comprises a housing (2) having an actuating member (3) which is movably mounted thereon and is configured to at least partially guide the fluid stream regulated by the valve (10) and, when the pressure equalising insert (1) is installed, co-operates with a valve seat (15) depending upon a pressure difference prevailing in the fluid stream in order to regulate the fluid stream. The invention further relates to a valve (10) having an installed pressure equalising insert (1), wherein the pressure equalising insert (1) can be inserted in particular as a pre-assembled assembly into the valve (10).

  • Publication number: 20160123479
Abstract: A control valve having a closing element, mounted in a housing between an inlet side and an outlet side and rotatable about an axis between a first and second end positions, and a passage channel through the closing element perpendicularly with respect to the rotational axis. The channel has inlet and outlet openings and connects the inlet side to the outlet side in the first end position, disconnects the inlet side from the outlet side in the second end position, and permits an increasing throughflow of a medium during the transition from the second end position into the first end position with a characteristic curve. Low valve noise is achieved because of the shape, size and configuration of the inlet and outlet openings of the passage channel and the configuration of walls of the passage channel without steps and edges.

  • Publication number: 20150316935
Abstract: To balance (S3) a group of consumers in a fluid transport system in which each consumer is provided with a motorized control valve for regulating the flow through the consumer, characteristic data for the consumers is stored (S2) which determines a valve position of the relevant control valve for target flows through one of the consumers in each case. A current total flow through the group of consumers is determined by means of a common flow sensor (S32) and a balance factor (S34) is defined on the basis of the current total flow and a sum of the desired target flows through the consumers. The consumers are dynamically balanced by setting (S31) the valve settings for the corresponding control valves on the basis of the characteristic data and the balance factor.

  • Patent number: 9060534
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for drying rice, in which, during the drying process, the grains of rice pass through surface states which have various pairs of values of temperature (T) of the surface and moisture (U) of the surface, the surface of the grains of rice remaining in a viscoelastic state during the drying process, and in which, in a diagram comprising temperature (T) of the surface of the grains of rice and moisture (U) of the surface, a) the temperature (Tv) of the surface of the grains of rice lies no more than 40° C. above the temperature (Tg) on the glass transition curve of the rice at the point of the same moisture of the surface and/or b) the moisture (Uv) of the surface of the grains of rice lies no more than 20% above the moisture on the glass transition curve of the rice at the point of the same temperature of the surface.

  • Publication number: 20140150883
Abstract: For the purpose of balancing (S3) a group of consumers in a fluid transport system in which each consumer is configured with a motorized regulating valve for the purpose of regulating the flow through the consumer, characteristic data for the consumer is saved (S2) which determines a valve position of the corresponding regulating valve for the target throughput through each consumer. A momentary total throughput through the group of consumers is determined (S32) by means of a common throughput sensor, and based on the momentary total throughput and a sum of the desired target throughputs through the consumers, a balancing factor is determined (S34). By setting (S31) the valve positions of the corresponding regulating valves based on the characteristic data and the balancing factor, a dynamic balancing of the consumers is carried out.

  • Publication number: 20130149427
Abstract: A method of preparing flour or splits of legume according to the invention comprises the steps of: i) providing legume; ii) allowing the legume to partially germinate; iii) optionally, terminating germination of the legume; iv) preparing the partially germinated legume for milling; v) optionally, milling the prepared legumes of step iv). Partial germination was found—besides increasing the content of nutrients and decreasing the content of antinutrients to enhance the physical quality of splits and to enhance the dehusking yield. Moreover, nutritionally more beneficial flour and splits can be provided.

  • Publication number: 20120180875
Abstract: A flow limiter for limiting a volumetric flow through a liquid line, comprising a carrier having a passage and a flat spring attached to the carrier. The flat spring has a spring tongue and the passage has an opening, wherein the spring tongue is above the opening such that the spring tongue increasingly lies against the carrier as differential pressure rises, thereby reducing the opening and continuously reducing the passage within a defined pressure range. A body is arranged upstream of the spring tongue, or the spring tongue is oriented in the flow direction so that the spring tongue offers a direct contact surface to a substantially reduced flow cross-section. Thus the spring tongue is deflected, or rested against the carrier, to a lesser extent at low differential pressure values so that at a low differential pressure, a constant volumetric flow rate and an expanded operating range having a constant volumetric flow rate is achieved.

  • Patent number: 8167002
Abstract: The invention relates to a flow restrictor (1) for restricting a volume flow through a liquid line, said flow restrictor comprising a support (10) having a passage and a bent flat spring (11) attached to the support (10). The flat spring (11) comprises at least one spring tab (12) and the passage at least one opening (13), the spring tab (12) and the opening (13) having a substantially identical extension along a longitudinal direction. The spring tab (12) is designed and arranged above the opening (13) in such a manner that it increasingly rests against the support (10) with increasing differential pressure, thereby gradually making the opening (13) smaller and continuously reducing the passage within a defined pressure range. The dimensions of the opening (13) are adjusted corresponding to the size of the spring tab (12), thereby allowing a compact flow restrictor (1) which is less susceptible to dirt.

  • Publication number: 20110114304
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the hydraulic compensation and control of a heating and cooling system. The system comprises at least one pump and a plurality of lines respectively comprising a compensation and control valve and a load. The method for compensation and control consists of the following steps: a control value for each of the compensation and control valves is determined for which the predetermined discharge values are reached in each line; a control range of each compensation and control valve is defined as the difference between the determined control value and the position when the compensation and control valve is closed; and the signal control range of one each of the compensation and control valves is represented in the newly defined control range.
