  • Publication number: 20210132057
Abstract: The present invention relates to a test kit comprising a pancreatic elastase 1-specific antibody with a sample collection device and an extraction buffer, which surprisingly has a higher accuracy of determination of the elastase 1 in the feces.

  • Patent number: 9766243
Abstract: The invention relates to a test kit for better carrying out a method for detecting biomarkers in human or animal stool, which can serve as an indication of a pathological, particularly a malignant event in the gastrointestinal tract (esophagus, stomach, small bowel, biliary tract, pancreas, and bowel). The invention teaches a novel and more efficient methods, uses and embodiments of a combined rapid test. The combined rapid test cassette used for implementing the test kit and the optimally coordinated reagents thereof contains two lateral flow test strips for the synchronous—in the technical meaning—detection of the biomarkers M2-PK and the biomarker hemoglobin. The test serves as a “dual filter” for diagnosing probands as part of a colon cancer screening program. The test is very cost-efficient and cuts costs in the health system by the examination at an early stage of colon cancer and the consequences thereof.

  • Patent number: 7736864
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the detection of inflammations, in particular of inflammatory processes in the tissue of mammary glands in humans or animals, in particular in cattle and a test-kit for carrying out said method. The method is particularly suitable for the specific detection of inflammations in mammary glands, for example during testing of milk, whereby the enzyme implicated in inflammatory processes prostaglandin D synthase (PGDS) is qualitatively or quantitatively determined.

  • Publication number: 20080153119
Abstract: In order to selectively, qualitatively or/and quantitatively detect the pyruvate kinase isoenzyme of the tumor M2-PK type (tumor M2-PK) which serves as a tumor marker in human and animal feces to detect a malignant process in the gastrointestinal tract, tumor M2-PK is detected in a stool specimen by an immunoassay technique with the aid of at least one antibody which specifically binds tumor M2-PK and does not cross-react with any other pyruvate kinase isoenzyme. A test kit for diagnosing malignant tumor growth in the gastrointestinal tract and in particular in the intestines contains at least one receptor for tumor M2-PK which does not cross-react with any other pyruvate kinase isoenzyme and optionally contains additional reagents that are necessary for carrying out an immunoassay.

  • Patent number: 5972628
Abstract: A qualitative, quantitative, as well as local determination of pyruvatkinase (ATP:pyruvate-2-O-phosphotransferase, EC 2.7.1.40)-isoenzyme typ M2 (Tumor-M2-PK) is possible in blood, plasma, tissue culture, tissue sections as well as in the animal and human organism with the help of antibodies.Corresponding antisera are obtained if highly purified pyruvatekinase-isoenzymes type M2 (Tumor-M2-PK) or fragments of these, are used as immunogen. Preferable are antisera with monoclonal antibodies. These antibodies can be used in ELISA-Test systems for the diagnosis of cancer, to determine the malignancy of cells, to localize a tumor in an organism as well as for the therapy of cancer.

  • Patent number: 5622837
Abstract: A process is described for obtaining highly specific pancreas elastase 1 antibodies which react both with bodily fluids and with stools. Such an antibody is obtainable by immunizing with an antigen having the amino acid sequence Thr-Met-Val-Ala-Gly-Gly-Asp-Ile-Arg (SEQ ID NO:1) or immunologically active partial peptides thereof. A test kit containing such antibodies is suitable for the diagnosis and course monitoring of chronic and acute pancreatitis as well as mucoviscidosis in bodily fluids and/or in stools.
