Abstract: A method for operating a dishwasher comprising a washing tub for accommodating articles to be cleaned and a circulation pump for circulating a cleaning liquid within the washing tub, and wherein there is provided for a plurality of washing programs selectable by the user, said washing programs comprising a series of consecutive steps selected from filling, pre-washing, washing, rinsing, soaking, draining and drying steps. In the method suggested herein, the washing programs comprise: (a) a first washing program in which the circulation pump is operated at a nominal speed, and (b) a second washing program in which, for at least part of the program, the circulation pump is operated at a speed which is reduced with respect to the nominal speed, and in which there is provided at least one soaking step during which the circulation pump is inactive.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method of treating textiles in a dryer, in particular in an exhaust air and/or a condenser dryer or in a washing machine having a drying unit, wherein the method comprises at least one program sequence of supplying (S) at least one additive into a drum of the dryer, and within the at least one additive supplying sequence (S) changing the drum rotation direction and/or changing the air flow rate and/or air flow or fan rotation direction.

Abstract: The invention concerns a method for operating a domestic appliance, especially a home dryer (1) or a washing machine, and a domestic appliance (1) which comprises an operating mode for treating textiles with steam. According to the method at least one action for protection of an operator of the domestic appliance (1) is taken when an interruption of an active program for treating textiles with hot steam occurs. The method shall prevent that the operator is hurt by the hot steam generated in the domestic appliance. The domestic appliance (1) comprises a control (40) and a memory (41) storing at least one program for treating textiles with steam, wherein the control (40) is adjusted to execute the inventive method.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method of drying laundry in a dryer, in particular a tumble-dryer or a washing machine having dryer function, the method comprising: executing a drying program sequence; and thereafter executing a maintaining sequence, in particular an anti-crease sequence. According to the invention the maintaining sequence includes supplying (S) at least one additive to the laundry. Also a method is provided, wherein a drying program includes an anti-crease sub-sequence of supplying (S) at least temporarily steam in a jerkily or splashing manner to the laundry.
