Patent number: 10311759Abstract: A pressure compensation label for sticking to a surface, provided with a pressure compensation opening, of a housing or some other article, has a first film for sticking to a surface provided with a pressure compensation opening, and an outer, second film and also an air-permeable membrane film which is arranged between the first film and the second film. The first film has a cutout, intended for positioning over a pressure compensation opening, and a number of ventilation ducts. Each of the ventilation ducts is separated from the cutout by a film region of the first film. The membrane film covers the cutout and each of the film regions between the cutout and the number of ventilation ducts.Type: GrantFiled: April 9, 2015Date of Patent: June 4, 2019Assignee: Schreiner Group GmbH & Co. Publication number: 20180366037Abstract: A label for moisture protection and/or pressure equalization has a base layer, a top layer, and a gas-permeable element. The base layer and the top layer have overlapping openings. The base layer and the top layer each comprise a first, laterally inner region and a second, laterally outer region. The gas-permeable element comprises a first, laterally inner section located between the overlapping openings and at least one second, laterally outer section embedded or sandwiched between the first, inner regions of the base layer and of the top layer. The second, outer regions of the base layer and of the top layer are disposed on one other in direct contact with each other.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 22, 2018Publication date: December 20, 2018Applicant: Schreiner Group GmbH & Co. KGInventor: Uwe BIRK

Patent number: 10089905Abstract: A label with which an opening situated in a wall can be covered comprises a gas-permeable element (30) that is embedded between a base layer (10) and a top layer (20). Base layer and top layer have openings (11, 21) that overlap one another. The gas-permeable element is disposed between an adhesive layer (102) of the base layer and the top layer (20). According to embodiments, the opening of the top layer can project (A) beyond the edge of the opening of the lower layer and/or the top layer can project (B) beyond the outer edge of the lower layer. The label demonstrates sufficient mechanical stability and prevents the escape of adhesive.Type: GrantFiled: October 28, 2014Date of Patent: October 2, 2018Assignee: Schreiner Group GmbH & Co. Patent number: 7687135Abstract: The top label is equipped with an inscription in the form of a barcode and a model number. A recess, which continues in two channels also implemented in the bottom label, is provided in the bottom label where the gas exchange opening is located when the label is used as intended. The top label covers the channel system. The channels discharge into the surroundings at the label edge, so that two gas passage openings are defined by the intersection region between label contour and the contours of the channel system. Liquid may drain out of the channel system in many different spatial orientations of the housing which the label is stuck onto as intended. A gas permeable membrane may advantageously be positioned in the region of the recess and extending somewhat over it. The membrane may also extend over the entire bottom of the label.Type: GrantFiled: August 23, 2005Date of Patent: March 30, 2010Assignee: Schreiner Group GmbH & Co., KGInventor: Uwe Birk

Patent number: 7431790Abstract: The laser beam (204) violates the foil layer (203) in an upper part region (203b) whereas this remains intact in a lower part region (203a). During the production of lines of weakening by laser action the degree of foil weakening can be controlled substantially more accurately than in conventional punching and cutting processes to produce lines of weakening. The composite foil (201) is sufficiently tear-resistant during application that it can be dispensed without any problem onto an object to be stuck without tears or any risk of destruction. As soon as the adhesive (202) develops its effect however, the foil structure can no longer be removed without any residue: the violation of the foil layer (203) has the effect that the self-adhesive composite tears off uncontrollably without fail during a manipulation attempt. This thus ensures extremely high security of the foil structure (201) or of a label formed therefrom against undesirable manipulation.Type: GrantFiled: September 28, 2004Date of Patent: October 7, 2008Assignee: Schreiner Group GmbH & Co. Publication number: 20070026184Abstract: The invention relates to a label, which when used, is stuck to a specific object in a simple manner with the air of an adhesive layer. However, it is not possible to remove the label without causing damage since some of the weakness lines become torn as a result of the tension prevailing in the layers of film during removal thereof. Since the two film layers are segmented, it is of no importance whether the upper film layer or the lower film layer is touched during manipulation. According to the invention, layers of film having pre-cut weakness lines are stamped out of a web of material and areas which are separated from the rest of the film layer of the label by means of a weakness line can be created in the individual layer of film, ensuring that the label is not damaged when it is applied to a specific object, or when it is repositioned. The necessary cohesion is created by the fact that the weakness lines of one film layer do not coincide with weakness lines in another respective film layer.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 3, 2004Publication date: February 1, 2007Inventors: Tanja Ehreiser, Thomas Koberlein, Uwe Birk
