  • Patent number: 6814182
Abstract: Air-diffusion panel for a motor vehicle including at least one air inlet and at least one air duct in communication with the said air inlet and air-distribution means, characterised in that it includes at least one resonant cavity (8) tuned so as at least partially to reduce the airstream noise in the said duct (4, 5, 6).
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 9, 2001
Date of Patent: November 9, 2004
    Assignee: Valeo Climatisation
    Inventor: Uwe Dausch

  • Patent number: 6217438
Abstract: The invention concerns an air conduit for motor vehicle instrument panel made in the form of an open conduit with a longitudinal slot defined by two fusion faces, the open conduit being produced in one single piece with the instrument panel by moulding a ductile material enabling the stripping by widening the longitudinal slot, means for joint being provided by joining the fusion faces of the longitudinal slop after stripping.

  • Patent number: 6071591
Abstract: A motor vehicle dashboard including a body made of injection-molded plastic form, and at least one air duct integrally molded with the dashboard body. The air duct is produced by means of an at least partially absorbable removable insert, particularly an inflatable balloon.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 25, 1997

  • Patent number: 5904617
Abstract: A motor vehicle dashboard has a support face. Air ducts are carried by the dashboard for taking air into the cabin of the vehicle. Each duct has a longitudinal slot which is bounded by two adjacent edges, so that the duct has a transverse cross section in the form of an open annulus. The duct has two external engagement faces on either side of the longitudinal slot, and is fixed to the support face of the dashboard by means of these engagement faces. The duct is made by moulding in a suitable deformable material such that it can be stripped from the mould by opening out the slot, after which the slot is closed up again.

  • Patent number: 5447469
Abstract: An installation for heating, ventilating and air conditioning the cabin of a motor vehicle of the kind in which the steeply inclined windshield forms in effect an upward and rearward extension of the motor hood, with the fascia panel being elongated longitudinally into the cabin of the vehicle, comprises a heating apparatus and a ventilating and air conditioning apparatus, both arranged in the central fascia panel. The ventilating and air conditioning apparatus has at least one upper air inlet port and at least one lower air inlet port, arranged in the fascia panel and directed upwardly and downwardly respectively. These ports are connected to the blower of the ventilating and air conditioning apparatus so as to supply the latter with recirculated air drawn from an upper zone and a lower zone, respectively, of the cabin.
