The method involves a capability profile for a patient and also a first and a second database being provided. The first database contains a plurality of skills and an allocation of minimum prerequisites for capabilities required for the respective skills. The second database contains a plurality of skills with expert rules relating to the selection of exercises and/or of capabilities to be treated and also their order and/or weighting for the purpose of acquiring the respective skills taking into account existing capabilities and capability deficits.

Abstract: A method and a system are for supporting therapy planning in rehabilitation in the presence of multiple deficits and are also for therapy planning for chronic illnesses in the presence of further illness-dependent restrictions. The method involves a capability or illness profile for a patient and also at least one first database being provided. The first database containes a plurality of therapy modules and/or treatable capabilities and also minimum prerequisites, associated with the therapy modules or treatable capabilities, for implementing the respective therapy modules or treating the respective treatable capabilities. A data processing station automatically compares the patient's capability or illness profile with the minimum prerequisites by accessing the first database and, on the basis of the comparison, advises a user of one or more suitable therapy modules and/or suitable treatable capabilities for which the minimum prerequisites are satisfied.

Abstract: Patient data for a patient are recorded which include measured values for measured variables relating to implementation and/or for quantification of interim results for a training program completed by the patient. In addition, a first database is provided which contains rules for linking patient data to proposals for modifying training programs. A first or a second data processing station automatically generates one or more proposals for modifying or retaining the training program completed by the patient by reverting to the first database, and outputs it/them to the first or to a further data processing station. The present method and the associated system reduce the workload and time taken for a treating physician or therapist when modifying a training program during rehabilitation.

The first database contains a plurality of past comparative capability profiles for comparative patients and an allocation of training programs respectively prescribed on the basis of these comparative capability profiles. A data processing station automatically compares the patient's capability profile with the comparative capability profiles and selects and displays from the first database, one or more suitable training programs for which the associated comparative capability profile matches the patient's capability profile to a prescribable degree of similarity. The method and the associated system make it easier for the physician or therapist to select an individual training program.

Abstract: A method and a system are for measuring the success of treatment of a medical therapy. In the method, at least one treatment objective is defined at a first data processing station and a calculation rule is provided for the success of treatment of the therapy, the calculation rule indicating the success of treatment as a function of recordable numerical measures. Furthermore, a second data processing station is provided for the automated recording and transmission of the numerical measures describing the success of treatment to the first data processing station. At the start of the therapy, the initial state of the patient with respect to the treatment objective is recorded using first numerical measures. During and/or at the end of the treatment, automatic second numerical measures describing the success of treatment are recorded by way of the second data processing station.

Abstract: A method and a system is for supporting therapy planning, particularly in rehabilitation. The method involves a capability profile, including a plurality of capability deficits, for a patient at the start of a therapy and/or information about therapy modules prescribed for the patients in the course of therapy being provided from a database. Each of the capability deficits and/or therapy modules is automatically assigned one or more organization units by using a second database which contains, for a plurality of capability deficits and/or therapy modules, a fixed link to organization units providing therapy. At least some of the capability deficits and/or therapy modules are displayed with their association or on the basis of their association on a computer workstation. The method and the associated system simplify therapy planning and therapy progress control for the treating physician or therapist.
