  • Publication number: 20230287618
Abstract: A method for executing a spin program for a cleaning appliance having a rotatable, non-ribbed drum. A first motion signal is supplied which causes a first rotational motion of the drum in a first direction until the drum has reached a first target rotational speed. A second motion signal is supplied that represents a second rotational motion in a second direction until the drum has reached a second target rotational speed greater than the first target rotational speed. Further first and second motion signals are supplied which causes a further first and second rotational motions in the first and second directions until the drum has reached a further first and second target rotational speeds greater than the second and first target rotational speeds, respectively. A third motion signal causes a third rotation of the drum at the predetermined maximum rotational speed in the direction of the preceding rotational motion.

  • Patent number: 8581159
Abstract: A method and cooktop include a cooktop panel, a cooking zone, and an induction heating device disposed below the cooktop panel. First, second and third heat sensor units are disposed beneath the cooktop panel in a region of a measuring spot. The first heat sensor unit is configured to measure heat flow from substantially only the cooktop panel. The second and third heat sensor units are configured to measure heat flow from the cooktop panel and a cooking utensil disposed thereon. A light source is provided for measuring an emissivity of the bottom of the cooking utensil. An auxiliary heater heats the region of the measuring spot. An electrical control system calculates a ratio from signals of the second and third heat sensor units and determines an actual temperature of the bottom of the cooking utensil from the ratio by using a temperature of a lower surface of the cooktop panel measured by the first sensor unit and a value of the emissivity of the cooking utensil bottom.

  • Patent number: 4759651
Abstract: The cap for the writing instrument comprises a jacket mounted slidably on a sealing insert or sleeve which provides a sealed moisture chamber for the writing tip when the cap is on the writing instrument. Near the writing tip there is a circular bulge on the shaft of the writing instrument which enters into a sealing engagement with an interior passage of the sealing insert. On putting the cap on the writing instrument the sealing insert is pushed over the circular bulge until it contacts a contacting stop on the jacket. Then the circular bulge presses tightly into the sealing insert and it locks the jacket to the writing instrument so that the entire arrangement is kept in that position until the cap is removed. A signal slider is attached with the sealing insert which is extendable out from the end of the jacket in order to signal in its extended position the proper seating of the cap on the writing instrument. Erroneous indications of a sealed state are prevented with our invention.
