  • Publication number: 20230060022
Abstract: A wind deflector for an openable vehicle roof having a displaceable cover element, the wind deflector may have a deployable deflector element which is made of a planar flexible material and forms a windward surface, the deflector element being attached to a pivotable deploying bow at its upper edge area and to a vehicle-attached base at its lower edge area and comprising a warp-knitted fabric having meshes. The warp-knitted fabric is a one-piece warp-knitted fabric. The windward surface is a curved surface whose curvature is defined by the interknitted meshes of the warp-knitted fabric.

  • Publication number: 20190062963
Abstract: The invention relates to a knitted spacer fabric (10) comprising two layers (11, 12), which each comprise wales (15) running in a longitudinal direction (L) and courses (16) running in a transverse direction (Q). The two layers (11, 12) are arranged at a distance in a vertical direction (H) and are connected to one another by connection threads (26). In an exemplary embodiment a predetermined separation point (29) is formed in the longitudinal direction (L) between two directly adjacent separation point wales (15a, 15b) in each layer (11, 12). These two separation point wales (15a) are connected by a first thread bundle (20), which comprises fewer threads (22) than a second thread bundle (21). Additionally or alternatively, the wales (15) can comprise float portions (40), in which the threads (22) used for stitch formation outside the float portions (40) do not form any stitches.

  • Publication number: 20190062964
Abstract: The invention relates to a knitted spacer fabric (10) and a method for producing same. The knitted spacer fabric (10) has a first layer (11) formed by stitches (13), a second layer (12) formed by stitches (13), and connection threads (21), which connect the two layers (11, 12) arranged at a distance from one another in a height direction (H). At least one predetermined separation point (22) is formed in each layer, at which point the tensile strength is reduced. The stitches (13) are formed in each case by a thread bundle comprising a first thread (16) and a second thread (17). The threads (16, 17) have different physical and/or chemical properties, for example different melting points, different resistances to alkaline or acidic agents, etc.

  • Publication number: 20060021723
Abstract: A roll-up window shade assembly for motor vehicles is provided. The roll-up window shade assembly includes a roll-up window shade element having a transparency that is anisotropic over its surface area. As desired, the transparency can change from the top edge of the window to the bottom edge of the window in the sense that a better transparency is provided in the region of the bottom edge of the window. Alternatively, the transparency can change from the rear edge of the window to the front edge of the window with the best transparency being provided next to the front edge of the window.
