  • Patent number: 10393178
Abstract: A tilting segment (3, 3?) for a tilting segment sliding bearing (1, 1?) has a segment body (13, 13?) for receiving bearing forces. The segment body (13, 13?) is made of a fiber-reinforced composite material. The composite material includes a polyether ketone and carbon fibers that function as reinforcement fibers. The carbon fibers make up 25 wt. % to 70 wt. % of the fiber-reinforced composite material. Additionally, the carbon fibers form a fabric. The fabric has a contour that has an orientation that is parallel to a sliding surface (8, 18) of the segment body (13, 13?).

  • Patent number: 7661663
Abstract: A vibration damper is disclosed which includes a damper tube filled with a damping medium; a piston rod which can move in an oscillating and reciprocal manner in the damper tube and one end of which protrudes into the damper tube and which comprises at this end a piston rod extension and a shoulder. A piston divides the interior of the damper tube into a working chamber remote from the piston rod and a piston rod-side working chamber and which is disposed coaxially with respect to the piston rod extension and comprises restrictor openings and at least one spring washer covering these restrictor openings in each working chamber. A buffer spring is disposed in the piston rod-sideworking chamber.

  • Publication number: 20090107781
Abstract: A vibration damper for the wheel suspension of a motor vehicle includes a damping tube, a working piston which splits the interior of the damping tube into two working chambers and is attached to a piston rod, a closure assembly which closes an open end of the damping tube and through which the piston rod is guided, and a rebound buffer spring which is disposed between two spring plates. The rebound buffer spring is formed as a helical spring, wherein the ends of the rebound buffer spring are supported on support surfaces of the spring plates. The spring plates comprise support sleeves extending in the longitudinal direction of the vibration damper, and the outer peripheral surfaces of the support sleeves support the rebound buffer spring from the inside in the radial direction when the rebound buffer spring has reached its hard stop. The support sleeves do not touch when the compression coil spring is at its hard stop.

  • Publication number: 20060283674
Abstract: Shock absorber, at least containing a damping tube, a piston rod, a sealing element for the damping tube, and a metal compression spring that surrounds the piston rod, characterized in that a compression spring provided with a linear rate is switched in series with a spring element comprising elastomer or plastic material and having a progressive rate, whereby the spring element is embodied on the compression spring side like a spring retainer at least partially guiding the compression spring and is embodied outside of the spring retainer at least in part like a bellows.

  • Publication number: 20060280579
Abstract: A tolerance compensating assembly of automatically compensating tolerances in the spacing between two structural members comprises a mounting bolt 10, a base element 4, an adjustment sleeve 6 and a driver 8. The base element 4 and the adjustment sleeve 6 form a first thread pairing G1 of a predetermined spiral direction for adjusting the adjustment sleeve 6 relative to the base element 4. The base element 4 and the mounting bolt 10 form a second thread pairing G2 in the opposite spiral direction for clamping the two structural members B1, B2. The driver 8 is a separate structural member and disengageably connected to the adjustment sleeve 6 and has a plurality of flexibly resilient clamping portions 34 spaced along its periphery, which provide for frictional contact with the thread of the mounting bolt 10 above a predetermined torsional force.
