  • Patent number: 8324412
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for the reliable and reproducible preparation of 4-[17?-methoxy-17?-methoxymethyl-3-oxoestra-4,9-dien-11?-yl]benzaldehyde (E)-oxime (asoprisnil) on the pilot and manufacturing scale. Asoprisnil, which is prepared by this method, is distinguished by a very good physical stability and is therefore particularly suitable for the manufacture of solid pharmaceutical forms (tablets, coated tablets, etc.).

  • Patent number: 4989725
Abstract: A surface formed by grate bars in pasteurizers and the like. The grate bars are movable so as to perform a pilgrim step-like or reciprocating movement. The grate bars are placed on sectional girders. The ends of the grate bars placed on the sectional girders are Z-shaped. Each sectional girder has at its upper end face a groove-shaped recess and an elongated slot-like recess vertically spaced from the groove-shaped recess. The end of each grate bar has an opening for inserting the grate bar into the slot-like recess of the sectional girder. By inserting an end of a grate bar into the slot-like recess and raising the end of another opposite grate bar, the two facing grate bar ends are vertically and laterally centered.

  • Patent number: 4461329
Abstract: An arrangement for centering containers in a bottle treatment machine, particularly in a bottle filling machine, has centering elements arranged to be located below filling valves and movable in vertical direction, bottle lifting organs having a receiving plane and movable below the centering elements in the vertical direction, and a curved guiding element arranged to guide the bottle lifting organs so as to lower the latter in an outlet region and thereafter, after taking over a bottle and passing an inlet region, to raise them again, wherein the guiding element is formed so that the receiving plane of the lifting organs prior to a contact point between a filling path and an inlet star path, as considered in a supply direction of the bottles, coincides with a bottle supply plane of the inlet star, and during further rotation in direction toward the contact point the receiving plane of the lifting organs is located higher than the bottle supply plane of the inlet star.

  • Patent number: 4440201
Abstract: A liquid discharge nozzle for container filling valves includes an inner member and an outer member which together define an upstream section of a passage for the flow of the liquid to be filled into a container therethrough in the downward direction. The outer member has a valve seat cooperating with a valve member to open or close the passage. The outer member forms a groove which accommodates the lower part of the inner member to form a siphon-type trap therewith, the groove being separated from a downstream section of the passage, which is situated in the discharge nozzle portion of the outer member, by a ridge. A plurality of openings, such as notches or bores, is provided through the ridge in substantially radial directions, each of the openings extending from the groove to slightly upwardly of the valve seat. The openings have such dimensions that surface tension of the liquid present therein prevents gases from penetrating through such openings into the upstream section of the passage.

  • Patent number: 4389833
Abstract: An arrangement for closing containers with crown corks and the like, has a piston, a guiding opening in which the piston reciprocates, and a passage for supplying a cleaning liquid, which passage is open into an annular gap formed between the piston and the wall bounding the guiding opening. The passage may include a radial passage portion arranged to communicate with a liquid supplying conduit, and a distributing passage portion communicating with the radial passage portion.

  • Patent number: 4298039
Abstract: A liquid filling valve arranged on a rotating tank of liquid for filling bottles includes a spray line for directing a cleansing spray of the liquid against liquid carrying parts in the event of bottle breakage. A valve is provided in the body of the filling valve for communicating the liquid from a liquid feeder line to the spray line, the internal valve being arranged to be actuated upon breakage of a bottle.

  • Patent number: 4206789
Abstract: A device for use in filling bottles with liquid stored in a reservoir is disclosed. The device utilizes a short gas conduit for venting the bottle to be filled. When the level of liquid reaches the level of the conduit, the outflow of gas displaced during the filling process ceases and the filling process is greatly slowed. Liquid which is drawn into the conduit is blocked by a check valve which does not impede gas flow. After such blockage, the device is so constructed as to allow the liquid to drain back into the bottle. This single conduit is used for both the intake and exhausting of gas, as may be required during the filling process.

  • Patent number: 4171714
Abstract: The filling machine has a rotary tank containing the liquid, an annular channel surrounding the tank and containing gas having a lower pressure than the gas in the tank but higher than the atmospheric pressure, a filling unit adapted for sealing the container to be filled and including a filling pipe communicating with the interior of the tank and projecting into the container to be filled, a pressure control space communicating with the interior of the container around the filling pipe and connectable via a first control valve to the outer atmosphere, and further connectable via a second control valve to the annular channel, the second control valve being opened mechanically in response to the angular position of the rotary liquid tank and in addition being controlled during its open position by a separate timing device that closes the second valve if the mechanical control exceeds a predetermined time.

  • Patent number: 4140158
Abstract: A filling unit without filling pipe has a siphon closure for defining the level of the liquid charge in the bottle being filled. The siphon closure includes a stopper bell projecting into an annular channel for retaining sealing liquid, the stopper bell has in the range above the annular channel apertures in the form of radially and vertically directed slits extending downwardly to the edge of the bell-shaped jacket so that the lower part of the stopper bell has a comb-like configuration.
