  • Patent number: 10921108
Abstract: In a method for monitoring a magnetic bearing device for an electric rotating machine, a first pair of at least essentially diametrically opposed sensors and a second pair of at least essentially diametrically opposed sensors are arranged in offset relation about an angle. A distance is determined between each of the sensors and a body of rotation arranged inside the first and second pairs of sensors. A first average distance is determined from distance values of the first pair of sensors and a second average distance is determined from distance values of the second pair of sensors. A first change in the first average distance is captured and a second change in the second average distance is captured. The first and second changes are compared and a warning signal is outputted when a difference between the first and second changes exceeds a limit value.

Abstract: In a method for monitoring a magnetic bearing apparatus a first pair of at least essentially diametrically opposed sensors and a second pair of at least essentially diametrically opposed sensors are arranged in offset relation about an angle. A distance of each of the sensors from a rotating body arranged inside the first and second pairs of sensors is determined by temporal averaging of a plurality of distance measurements. The distances of the sensors from the rotating body are compared and a warning signal is outputted when a difference in the distances exceeds a limit value.

  • Patent number: 10133259
Abstract: This disclosure relates to systems and methods for automatically detecting three-dimensional shaping in a three-dimensional model of a sheet-metal part. Therein, data of a three-dimensional model of the sheet-metal part, which extends in a plane spanned by a first direction and a second direction, is detected, wherein the sheet-metal part comprises a bulge in a third direction which is different from the first and the second directions. Then, a horizontal cut is made through the bulge, as well as a vertical cut perpendicular to the plane spanned by the directions, so that closed cross-sectional contours of the bulge are formed. After a transformation, e.g., a Fourier transformation, of the cross-sectional contours, a tool that produces the bulge can be allocated to the Fourier coefficients.

  • Patent number: 9533714
Abstract: A front-end body is provided for a front end of a motor vehicle, wherein the front-end body has a first lateral supporting element and a second lateral supporting element. The lateral supporting elements are to be attached to a reference strut, which is provided on a base body, in order to align the front-end body with the base body. A transverse strut arrangement connects the first lateral supporting element and the second lateral supporting element such that an accommodation space, which is open in the vertical direction of the front-end body for accommodating an assembly, in particular a radiator assembly is formed between the first lateral supporting element and the second lateral supporting element. A stability element is detachably attached to the transverse strut arrangement at one end and can be indirectly or directly attached to the base body at the other end.

  • Patent number: 7710890
Abstract: A method for detecting a signal propagation time between a mobile radio terminal and a base station in a mobile radio network in a mobile radio terminal, particularly for the purpose of localizing the mobile radio terminal which inserts a propagation time detection information item into a channel request message in order to signal to the base station that no channel reservation is necessary, and that only the propagation time detection needs to be carried out, so as to achieve significantly reduced loading of network resources.

  • Patent number: 6937888
Abstract: A signal evaluation method for detecting QRS complexes in electrocardiogram (ECG) signals comprises the following steps: sampling of the ECG signal (4) and conversion into discrete signal values (x(n)) in chronological order; comparing the signal values (xf(n), xfq(n)) to a threshold function (K(n)) adaptively determined therefrom; determining a frequency number (D(n)) within a defined segment of the consecutive signal values, by which signal values (xf(n), xfq(n)) preferably fall short of the threshold function (K(n)); comparing the determined frequency number (D(n)) to a defined threshold (?), wherein an undershoot of the threshold (?) is significant for apresence of a QRS complex (5, 6, 7) in the defined segment of the ECG signal (4).

  • Patent number: 6625484
Abstract: A signal evaluation method for detecting QRS complexes in electrocardiogram signals incorporates the following process steps: sampling of the signal (4) and conversion to discrete signal values (x(n)) in chronological order, determining the sign of each signal value (x(n)), continuous checking of the signs of consecutive signal values (x(n)) for the presence of a zero crossing between two consecutive signal values (x(n)), determining the number (D(n)) of zero crossings in a defined segment (N) of the consecutive signal values (x(n)), and comparing the determined number of zero crossings (D(n)) to a defined threshold value, wherein an undershoot of the threshold value signifying the presence of a QRS complex (5, 6, 7) in the defined segment of the signal curve (4).

  • Patent number: 6392389
Abstract: In a method for monitoring the charging of gastight alkaline rechargeable batteries, the characteristics of the critical charging voltage (Ucrit) on a rechargeable battery are determined as a function of the charging current (I) for various temperatures (T) and are linearized by means of a function in the form A(I)×T+B(I). The value pairs A and B are stored as parameter arrays in a battery management system, and during operation of a physically identical rechargeable battery which is to be monitored, the associated critical charging voltage is calculated by measuring the temperature and charging current and is used to control the charging of the rechargeable battery. On reaching the critical charging voltage (Ucrit) which corresponds to the critical state of charge (LZcrit), the value of the critical state of charge can be calculated by measuring the current (I) and temperature (T).
